Obama Backs Down to Impeachment Prospect and Congress on Syria – He’s Not King Yet

Hussein Obama’s finger is no longer on the trigger in regards to Syria. His most mobile digit has been moved to a dark, secret location after an extended period of being held in the air to verify wind speed and direction. With his finger safely tucked away in its most natural of locations, Mr. Hussein Obama is now free to diddle away his non-golfing hours in contemplation of what a real president might do in a similar situation.

It would appear that Hussein’s intentions to go to war based upon fabricated merits has blown up in his arrogant mug, leaving an international audience wondering how a clown like this ever got elected to the highest political office in the world. An even more perplexing question; how is he able stay there?

His rose garden announcement of, “This attack is an assault on human dignity that could lead to escalating use of chemical weapons.” Implies that we have determined irrefutable responsibility for the chemical weapons use and that it, in and of itself, is a valid and sufficient premise for military action on our part. When did America become the “human dignity police?”

He continued with,”This menace must be confronted. But having made my decision as commander-in-chief, I am also mindful that I am president of the world’s oldest constitutional democracy.” I thought this guy was some kind of scholarly upper crust Constitutional expert. Did someone make a typo on the teleprompter? He should know that America is not a constitutional democracy, that we are a constitutional republic.

And now our would-be king has reluctantly placed himself under review by a separate and equal branch of our government. The stakes are huge for him politically, not only in the matter of Syria, but also his world-wide image, and his domestic agenda. Perhaps this will overshadow the amnesty push, providing cover for those in the House who value American jobs and sovereignty. Is this an unintended consequence of being too big for your britches?

Score one for the Russians, Chinese, Syrians, Iranians, and most importantly, score one for the United States. We will ultimately be victimized in any ill-advised imperialistic action taken in our name.

Score one for the American military, who would be delegated to carry out the Regime’s unconstitutional aggression upon a sovereign nation. War for profit is not established in the Constitution as a justifiable threat to our nation for the use of our armed forces. The Congress will determine whether or not we have a legitimate interest in military action in Syria, not our monarchial wannabe.

Watching this guy in action, I muse about what an ordeal it must be for him to play a round of golf. Eighteen greens, means he will in all likelihood, have roughly thirty six puts to gauge. He will have to read the break, left or right,

determine the proper speed of his stroke and then actually take action on the determined course. What a daunting task this must be for him! How many vacillations and expert opinions are required for each read?

With this golf game as a metaphor for his Syrian policy, I envision Mr. Hussein, becoming frustrated at his inability to read the green from the far corner he had backed himself into. I see him as he just closes his eyes, swings, and hopes for the best. That strategy of “let’s see what happens” doesn’t sink many putts. It is not a good foreign policy either.
