Yes, La Raza Really Does Mean "The Race"—And The Idea Was Invented By a Nazi Sympathizer

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) calls itself "The largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization…" It agitates against controlling immigration and in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens.

This NCLR supports driver’s licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens and opposes a border fence, secure voter ID and state laws that fight illegal immigration and bilingual education. And its "We Can Stop the Hate" campaign seeks to shut down your right to oppose illegal immigration. It worked on Lou Dobbs!

In short, NCLR is a radical anti-American organization. Its funding, by the way, mostly comes from corporations, with some from the federal government.

Many immigration patriots have taken to calling the NCLR the "National Council of the Race". A white organization would never be allowed to use "the race" in its title, now would it? In this day and age, to be called "racist" (as defined by the multicultural left) is the biggest sin in American politics and can destroy your career.

But does la raza really mean "the race"?

The NCLR says it doesn’t. Here’s the organization’s official explanation

“THE TRANSLATION OF OUR NAME: NATIONAL COUNCIL OF LA RAZA: Many people incorrectly translate our name, ‘La Raza,’ as ‘the race.’ While it is true that one meaning of raza’ in Spanish is indeed ‘race,’ in Spanish, as in English and any other language, words can and do have multiple meanings. As noted in several online dictionaries, ‘La Raza’ means ‘the people’ or ‘the community.’ Translating our name as ‘the race’ is not only inaccurate, it is factually incorrect. ‘Hispanic’ is an ethnicity, not a race. As anyone who has ever met a Dominican American, Mexican American, or Spanish American can attest, Hispanics can be and are members of any and all races."

Let’s assume for a moment that this explanation is correct. Let’s assume that la raza can be translated as "the people" or "the community".

From the point of view of patriotic immigration reform and the defense of the historic American nation, is that any better?

If La Raza calls itself "the people" or "the community", it is certainly NOT referring to the historical American “peopleâ€

What would that "nice" Nancy Pelosi lady say, if Americans for Legal Immigration came out with the following policy statement staking out their position?


"For the WHITES, everything. For everyone else, NOTHING!"

Would not Marshall Law be declared and National Guard troops be sent out to "clap in irons" any members of such an organization?

Or, would that statement be quietly ignored by 99.825% of lame stream media and the quote itself be hard to find unless you were a professional research tech and avid supporter of THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, flying high over the Colorado Rockies in a private G-5?

Does anyone know George Soros's position on the "middle of the road," nuclear disarmament "suggested" by the "middle of the road" Obama administration, while "they" spend 99% of their time putting the 47% of "working folks," who don't pay a thin dime in federal income taxes back to work?

Or, is all that stimulus money still going to China to put THEM back to work on windmills?

Gosh, Mr. President (of Mexico). no need to continue to export poverty. remember, charity begins at home. YOUR HOME. Unless you want to pay taxes to support all your brethren locked up in our penitentiaries or develop nuclear weapons of your own to protect US for a change. Ooooops. that's right!

(not to lose focus here; but how many billions of dollars would Mexican taxpayers be willing to pay up to incarcerate tens of thousands of American felons, providing those American felons with food and medical care your own folks weren't receiving?) shhhh. i already know the answer.

Why don't YOU develop one of those nuclear thingies to help YOU in nine years when YOUR oil runs out. Maybe all those hard-working folks with the AVERAGE 7th grade educations could stay THERE and help YOU build Nukes, instead of THEM sneaking over HERE in the middle of the night to protest in our streets burning our flags while demanding FREE EDUCATION from 15.4 million hard working folks THAT AREN'T WORKING! ANYMORE. THANKS.

It's not like you're broke with 27 billion dollars a year in drug exports and contract killing.

I lied. one more question. Mr Presidente Calderon. With ALL DUE RESPECT SIR, how would YOU feel if millions of Americans illegally crossed YOUR border and proceeded to burn the NATIONAL FLAG OF MEXICO while demanding free education, jobs, and welfare assistance from YOUR people while YOUR country was going bankrupt trying to feed, clothe, and educate the world?

Would La Raza in YOUR country turn the other cheek and watch the flag of Mexico being burned in Mexican streets by white anglo-saxons illegally there in YOUR country with millions of Mexican citizens watching it all happen on National Mexican TV? would YOU broadcast that? or would YOUR citizens have to search hard for evidence of Gringo flag burning?

The more I look at this the more totally and absolutely absurd it sounds. I suppose YOU wouldn't even pick up the phone to call the US president to complain that Mexican flag burning gringos were upsetting Mexican women and childen?
