Keep in mind: Iraq is one of the most advanced nations in that part of the world. These are educated people with skills, and as long as they are not taking American jobs, let them come!

What we DON'T need, is to be swamped with 40 million peasants from Mexico and Latin America who will be sucking up welfare, "free" healthcare and "free" schooling without putting anything back into the economy, especially since they send most of what they earn illegally here--untaxed--back to Mexico, anyway.

Iraqis who come here will be coming to stay. They won't be marching in the streets howling about how much they hate this country; their children will become some of our greatest patriots. That's the way it always works with immigrants coming here to become AMERICANs.

Just as when the libs defunded the war we'd already won in Vietnam, and we pulled out, we are going to have to open our arms to some of these people.

Good points, I know most immigrants (legal) are here to better themselfs and help there family... I have no problem with legal immigration and if people want to come here fine, welcome! But like you said its the illegals that make this a big problem with our nation letting these people in and letting these people get away with that is starting to get old! Our nation has issues and need to straighten them out before letting more immigrants (legal or illegal) into our nation!

I do not understand why we should allow thousands of Iraq citizens in this country as we have sent trillions of dollars to Iraq as is. America now takes in more people then all countries combined.

Simply because someone is better educated will not make them a better citizen. we need a cooling off period and then controlled limited immigration if we wish to continue the American dream.

When the situation gets like in Europe then the American people is going to start complaining .
