Thread: Unemployment Benefits For Illegal Aliens

Just now on Fox, Senator Jeff Sessions said he tried to present an amendment to the unemployment extension bill, that would require employers to verify their workers' legal status before receiving unemployment benefits because he said illegal aliens are currently receiving benefits by using fraudulent social security numbers. Harry Reid refused to even let the amendment come to the floor.

I just saw that also and I am outraged!!!

Another outrage is that foreign workers here legally can get unemployment benefits. They should have to go home if they are out of the work they came here to do.

Reid and Pelosi both have to go. Whatever happened to reaching-across-the-aisle bipartisanship? Won't happen with these two in power.

These people have a lot of nerve because we let them go too far .

The 'let them eat cake ' attitutde is sickenng .

I have been trying to find out how many illegal aliens are actually receiving benefits, but can't find any current data. Anyone else want to take a stab at researching this?

So in other words, Harryless Reid wants them to use fraudulent SSN by what his actions are saying?

Sen. Harry Reid lamented that the thief who stole his credit card number probably won't be caught. WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid discovered this week he was the victim of identity theft after someone used his MasterCard number to charge about $2,000 at a Wal-Mart and other stores in Monroe, North Carolina.

The Nevada Democrat said he found out someone had obtained the number after opening his bill Tuesday night.

"It's not a tremendous inconvenience for me," he said. "I won't have to pay it."

But Reid said he is steamed about the fact the perpetrator likely will never be caught. "Something has to be done," he said, holding up his now-deactivated card.

Reid said he does not know how someone obtained the number or whether he has been the victim of a broader identity theft -- a problem that affects millions of Americans every year.

I hope it was one of his precious illegal aliens who did it. That would be fitting.

There is quite sophisticated software out there, where some guy sitting in the parking lost can grab your info out of the ether when you swipe your credit or debit card. It happened to me at a gas station, and Amex caught a charge for nearly $900 to a phone-sex line--way, way, way out of my usual card usage pattern.
