CA ALERT! – Legislature passes SB 1460—financial aid for illegal alien students!
Ask Schwarzenegger to veto this bill


While California's middle class families struggle during this recession, the state legislature has voted to give financial aid to foreign students who are in the country illegally. Both houses passed SB 1460, the so-called California Dream Act, by Sen. Gil Cedillo (D-Los Angeles).

The legislative analysis revealed this would cost $38 million annually from Cal Grants, $4.8 million from CCC waivers, and additional millions from UC and CSU aid programs. Even though the California Legislature has failed to meet its constitutionally mandated deadline for passing a budget, it is poised to give millions of dollars to those who are here illegally.

Financial aid for illegals means less aid is available for Americans. Gov. Schwarzenegger vetoed a similar bill, SB 1301, in 2008. Let the Governor know how outrageous you consider the legislature’s action and ask him to wield his veto pen again.

Once again our elected officials here in California are not listening to the people. We voted to stop illegal students attending our colleges. Once again it is hung up in our courts and they are allowed to attend our colleges until the court rules on it. Of course I don't see anyone forcing the courts to act on it. Now we have politicans voting for them to get financial aid. It seems to me they should first have the courts rule on whether the law stands or not.

there is a serious problem with the legislators in califorina's state government ..

Their state is BROKE and in debt to the tune of 20 billion dollars , the unemployment rate is 12 % and they've been cutting social services for the last two years .....

What planet do these elected officals come from ? it must be the money planet , where the entire planet is made out of money and it rains money from the sky , and the oceans are made of money as well ...

i hope to someday go and see their planet ...

It's called the "LaRaza" effect. You know "Everything for the "Cosmic" Race and nothing for those outside the Race".

They don't care if the state is bankrupt. They don't care if citizens are taxed to the max as long as the IA's get their Bennies.

You're right in that Arnold will probably not sign this fraud of a bill that rewards those having violated our sovereignty. The problem is the traitor gil cedillo brings this bill up every year before Legislature and they ALWAYS pass it! Given the next crop of candidates for governor, will they also veto SB 1460 when our LA RAZA Legislature passes it again next year?
