I know an illegal that was hurt on the job in Washington State. He received full medical benefits from the Washington state Department of Labor and Industries industrial claims division.

They paid his medical expenses , lost time and a nice $40,000.00 settlement when he was declared able to go back to work. I called the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries and asked them if they knew he was an Illegal alien and they told me that they do not ask.

They do not care. If his employer pays into the system then the worker is covered and they do their job. I have an Idea , how about stiffing the employer for the full amount instead of us tax payers ?
