Ohio’s Conservative Leaders Endorse TED CRUZ for President
Conservative leaders in the swing state of Ohio are endorsing Ted Cruz for President. Citing issues like religious freedom, the economy, foreign policy, safety and security, pro-life, marriage and pro-family issues, these conservatives, listed below, endorse Ted Cruz.
Many of these leaders worked on the successful passage of the Ohio Marriage Amendment in 2004, which was credited with delivering the swing state of Ohio, and thus the presidency, to George W. Bush.
“There are a number of reasons to consider as key justifications to support a presidential candidate. We see increasingly chaotic situations around the world, and here at home, our basic human rights are under attack,” said Phil Burress, President of Citizens for Community Values Action.
“People of faith, now more than ever, need a leader who will protect basic human rights ensconced in the U.S. Constitution,” explained Molly Smith, President of Cleveland Right To Life.
“Actions speak louder than words,” added Lori Viars of the Conservative Republican Leadership Committee. “Ted Cruz doesn’t just talk our talk. He walks our walk, on both social and fiscal issues.”
“A weak Republican just won’t do,” said Linda Harvey, Christian author and President of Mission America. “There is too much at stake in this election. We need a strong leader like Ted Cruz who will stand up to terrorists and dictators, while also protecting the most vulnerable among us—the unborn.”
Linda Theis, President of Ohio ProLife Action, said her personal endorsement was based on multiple issues. “Ted Cruz’s legacy of action, his thoughtful approach to issues facing our country, and his full support of unborn life, religious freedom, and natural marriage make Cruz the best candidate for President,” Theis explained.
“Ted Cruz has shown us he will protect our Constitutional rights, including life, religious freedom, Second Amendment rights, and all of our liberties,” added Diane Stover of NE Ohio Values Voters.
“Backing a slightly better candidate than the Democrat hasn’t worked. No more Romneys, McCains or Doles! It’s time for a conservative with a track record of doing what needs to be done,” stated Sue Hardenbergh, co-leader of Anderson Tea Party in SW Ohio.
With Ted Cruz as President, our country will have a leader with a strong backbone, one who will support policies that reinvigorate our economy, protect the basic rights of each citizen, and is up to the task of leading the greatest nation in the world.
We, the undersigned, endorse Ted Cruz for President,
and invite others to go to www.KeepThePromise.com to join us.

The Cleveland Conservative Network Endorses Ted Cruz for President
RICHARD MAY·WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2016
The Cleveland Conservative Network endorses Senator Ted Cruz for President of the United States.
The Cleveland Conservative Network is a alliance of three Cleveland Republican Ward Organizations in the city of Cleveland. It covers the West Park, Old Brooklyn and Slavic Village neighborhoods of Cleveland.
The Network also has many suburban members and friends. It is a recognized Tea Party organization involved with the Ohio Liberty Coalition. It is allied with pro-Life and Traditional Values groups including The Traditional Family Values Coalition of Cleveland, the Ohio Christian Alliance, Citizens for Community Values, Cleveland Right to Life, Suburban West Right to Life, Northeast Ohio Value Voters, and others.
The Network is also The Cleveland Republican Organization consisting of Republican Central Committee members in Cleveland and its suburbs. Forty-seven current, former, or current candidates for the GOP Central Committee participated in this endorsement process.
Sixty-seven people total participated in this endorsement process. Among them are numerous former and current Republican candidates for Congress, statehouse, Cleveland mayor and city council and other offices. A couple were actually elected and served in public office. Ohio Republican State Central Committee members and candidates also participated. The vast majority participating, though, have never run for public office, they simply are good Republicans concerned for their country.
Cruz is the first pick of 29 of the 67 people. Trump followed with ten people picking him first. Rubio had seven people for third. Carson had six people for fourth. All eleven current Republican candidates had at least one vote plus one for Libertarian Party candidate Gov. Gary Johnson.
People were asked for their top three picks. So, based on a 3-2-1 vote system, (A first choice received 3 points, a second choice received two points, and a third choice receiving one point.....Thirteen people did not give three candidates in their answers.) Cruz is first by a even 2-to-1 margin over the tied follow-ups of Rubio and Trump. Cruz received 130 points, Rubio/Trump 65 each, Ben Carson got 42 points for fourth, Sen. Rand Paul got 16 points for fifth place, Gov. Kasich was sixth with 14 points.
Cruz was not named as a top three choice by only 11 of the 67 people. Rubio was not named by 34 people, Trump by 36, Carson by 43, Kasich by 59, every other candidate was not named by over 60 of the 67 people.
This was conducted by phone by our leader, Richard May, from December 31 to January 5. People was simply asked right at the start to name their three top choices in order. The follow-up question was if they would vocally object to a Cruz endorsement if the numbers merit it. All 67 agreed to respect the endorsement.
We wish it to be clear that there was no lobbying for a Cruz or anyone other candidates endorsement. In our events we rarely discussed the presidential primary. Only 29 of the participants are on facebook at all. As such most Network members have no idea of what has been posted on our sites.
This reflects the results of the Ohio Conservatives United straw polls where Cruz has been winning since last spring. The Network never participated in those polls.
We are pleased to find a consensus level amount of support for Ted Cruz. We believe other organizations may find such support as well.
We believe this shows that Senator Cruz can be an iconic conservative leader in the coming generation, much as Goldwater and Reagan has been in our generation.
