â–*Lettting crooks out of jail
Lettting crooks out of jailI am writing in response to a July 22 article about two gang members being arrested and released in the same day. These gang members were caught in a stolen vehicle with professional auto theft tools in their possession.
Officers also found items that had been taken during the robbery of a 61-year-old woman. Why on earth would these gang members be released on the same day they were arrested?
I thought stealing a vehicle was a felony. It seems to me our law enforcement officials have failed again. I know their excuse is our jails are too crowded and they don't have enough officers to baby-sit these thugs.
Fresno police arrested one Norteño gang member and two Bulldog gang members Friday after interrupting an argument between two gang members.

Police approached a Pontiac Firebird wanted from a prior pursuit and found a 30-year-old man identified as a Norteño gang member in an argument with a 21-year-old woman, identified as a Bulldog gang member.

During the investigation, officers located methamphetamine and narcotics paraphernalia in the car and arrested the couple.

Officers also recognized the home address of the woman as the location for a wanted probationer. They went to the house and arrested a 25-year-old Bulldog gang member.

At the home, officers found crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, injectable morphine, narcotics paraphernalia and stolen car parts.
