Thread: Senatorial Updates

From my calls around 5pm today:

Brownback: Almost certainly will vote no to cloture and no to the bill.

Bunning: Definitely vote no to cloture and opposes the bill.

Susan Collins: Probably vote no to cloture and no to bill (some speculation on staffer's part, though.)

Larry Craig: Waiting to see what he does.

Orrin Hatch: Staffer thinks he will vote no to cloture and almost definitely no to final bill (but, still speculation on her part.)

Blanche Lincoln: Will vote yes to cloture. She's horrible.

Ben Nelson: Staffer explained that on almost every issue, Nelson votes yes to cloture, because he likes to see the bill go to a yes/no vote. He opposes this bill, otherwise.

That's about it.

Isn't that just cute - I wouldn't accept that crap of an answer, especially when the Senator knows darn well that a vote for cloture will result in an easier chance for the bill to pass.
