Lewandowski to GOP: Get on Trump train or lose

President Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, says that Republicans can either unite behind the president or lose the 2018 elections.

“President Trump was elected to change the country,” he said Wednesday on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends.”

“You can get on board that train or you can lose your next election. I can promise you this: The Democrats have a different agenda.”

Lewandowski added that Trump’s 2016 campaign promises would be “gone” should Democrats take the House next year.

“Get the final conclusion done on the repeal and replace of ObamaCare,” he urged Republicans. “Get the massive tax cut, the largest tax cut in the history of our country, get that done.

“Get the infrastructure bill done. Get the wall built. If you do those things, you will get reelected. If you don’t do those things, it’s because you have failed the American people.”

Trump on Wednesday tweeted that GOP senators should “quickly get together” and pass a healthcare bill for repealing and replacing ObamaCare.

The president on Tuesday called for the Senate to end the filibuster and allow legislation to pass with a simple majority.

“The U.S. Senate should switch to 51 votes, immediately, and get Healthcare and TAX CUTS approved, fast and easy,” Trump tweeted. “Dems would do it, no doubt!”

Trump called earlier this month for an end to the filibuster, which essentially requires 60 votes for a bill to pass the Senate.

“Senator [Mitch] McConnell (R-Ky.) agrees that both health care and tax reform are essential and that is why Republicans in Congress are using the reconciliation process to prevent a partisan filibuster of these two critical legislative agenda items,” McConnell spokeswoman Antonia Ferrier told The Washington Post in response to Trump's tweet.

I love Corey Lewandowski. It's a real shame he left the campaign. If he'd stayed on, Trump could have won all 50 states. I hope they bring him back into the White House and send Jared and Ivanka back to New York. Corey understands the message, the mission, the goal. And I just bet some of those White House "staffers" are scared to death he's coming back, he runs a tight ship, no messing around, all business, all focus, and knows how to handle everything perfectly. It's amazing really what Corey is able to do and make it look so easy while the others truly struggle.
