    Friday Morning "Hit List"

Here's the "hit list" that was taken from the BLITZ thread that started on Wednesday. None of the Senators on this list have made a public statement on their position yet.

Those of us on the East coast have the advantage of being up-and-ready for action early. Time to start up our email-machines and charge our cell phones!

Today's push will include the results from the new Zogby poll found here:
    http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1328

    The Zogby poll found:
    * Just 3% of Americans believe Congress is handling the immigration issue in favorable terms
    * Only 9% say the President is handling the immigration issue favorably
    * Nearly two in three Americans (64%) would prefer their Congressional representative worked to pass immigration reforms that were more restrictive, while just one in four (26%) would back making the U.S.'s borders more open
    * Illegal immigrants who live and work within the U.S. are seen as a burden by 46% of Americans

    Today's Hit List:
Republicans who need blasting because they are playing games with amendments:

Lamar Alexander (R-TN) Up for re-election!

Bob Corker (R-TN) Looks like he'll follow Alexander off a cliff.

Richard Burr (R-NC) Hit him harder!!!

John Ensign (R-NV) Hit him hard--head of Senate Campaign Committee--talk $$$$

Mitch "The Traitor" McConnell (R-KY) Minority leader-hiding under Lott's skirt because he's up for re-election!

    John Thune (R-SD)

Norm Coleman (R-MN) Up for re-election

Gordon Smith (R-OR) Hammer him--he's playing the amendment game and has nasty staffers, but he's up for re-election!

Wayne Allard (R-CO) Probably a no--has been consistently no!

Susan Collins (R-ME) up for re-election & voted no on cloture last time!

Larry Craig (R-ID) up for re-election--RINO on the fence

Pete Domenici (R-NM) up for re-election & voted no on cloture last time!

Mike Enzi (R-NV) up for re-election & voted no on cloture last time!

John Warner (R-VA) Oh yeah, he voted no last time, but he's a RINO. Call him!!! VA is having serious illegal problems!

Ted Stevens (R-AK) Up for re-election-in trouble for the "bridge to nowhere"

    Thad Cochran (R-MS)

    Judd Gregg (R-NH)

Chuck Hagel (R-NB) up for re-election but voted YES on cloture last time!!!

    Orrin Hatch (R-UT) Hammer him--RINO

    Democrats:

Barbara Boxer (D-CA) voted No on cloture last time

Jim Webb (D-VA) voted No but excited about his silly little amendment

*****Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) up for re-election, voted No on cloture last time. I think he just needs reminding!!!

Joe Biden (D-DE) Up for re-election. I called today and they really listened to what I had to say about the Dems abandoning the working class and minorities by supporting all these new labors who bring middle and low-skilled workers' salaries down even more! Isn't he running for Pres.,too???

    Tom Harkin (D-IA) Ditto Biden!

Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) Up for re-election. Probably a lost cause but it's fun to leave messages.

Carl Levin (D-MI) Up for re-election. From Michigan, a real blue collar state-worth a try!

*****Mark Pryor (D-AR) Voted no and has a great possibility of doing so again.

Jack Reed (D-RI) Worth a try. Up for re-election.

    Newly elected Democrats:

Bob Casey (D-PA) I really gave him hell today, saying he did not represent his father's Democratic values

    Sherrod Brown (D-OH)

    Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)

Ben Cardin (D-MD) Called him to and they listened intently. He won a hard race against Michael Steele who could challenge him again! Steele is brilliant on illegals but because of that the RNC dropped their support! It has to make Cardin nervous in this climate

Amy Klobuchar (D-MI) Not answering but once again she is in a blue-collar state

Robert Byrd (D-WV) Bless his heart! We need to thank him!!! He'll vote NO!!!

Here's my email to send out. Anyone else is welcome to use it or clip portions, just like y'all have done before.

I am writing to express my strong OPPOSITION to the S.1639 (previously S.134 Comprehensive Immigration Bill.

The S.1639/S.1348 Bill was created as a vehicle of amnesty and cheap low-skill labor for illegal aliens. This Bill is nothing more than a compromise to help big business with a steady supply of very cheap labor.

American citizens know the S.1639/S.1348 Bill was created as a means to shift responsibility from our our failing Government onto the American taxpayers. Americans KNOW the S.1639/S.1348 Bill will negatively impact our Nation and serves little more than to gouge America while illegal aliens and "big business" gain profitably.

The latest Zogby poll taken last week shows that just 3% of Americans believe Congress is handling the immigration issue in favorable terms.

The Zogby poll also shows that illegal aliens who live and work within the U.S. are seen as a burden by 46% of Americans.

So, Senator, with these latest poll findings in mind, how can you rationalize passage of the Immigration Bill? Both the Bill and the proposed amendments offer NOTHING for American citizens. In fact, passage of the Bill will mean guaranteed losses for Americans. Do not underestimate American citizens, Senator. We will NOT cut-our-losses and learn to adapt as some legislators think.

Senator, I urge you to think long and hard about the Zogby Poll results. You must oppose the S.1639/S.1348 Bill.

So, Senator, how will you vote for the Immigration Bill? I ask because it will definately determine how you will be perceived in your future as a Senator or political figure. Where will you be at election time? Will you represent your constituents and abide by the laws of legislative representation? Or will you ignore the overwhelming majority of Americans and align with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and "big business"? If you are adept, Senator, you will realize this is a no-brainer. If you are in favor of this Bill, you will be committing political-suicide.

"Big business" can't vote-you-in. That's the edge that American citizens still have. Oh, and you won't just witness the loss of your election. You will watch your own ratings plummet (how embarassing will it be to know that your public considers you to be a failure at your job?). You will witness continued emails and telephone calls into your offices -- unpleasant calls. Day after day, calls from your constituent base, from American citizens, who will consider you to be a traitor to America for selling our Nation.

Senator, your decision to oppose the S.1639/S.1348 Bill is really not a difficult one. Knowing that the overwhelming majority of American citizens do not approve of this Bill, it would be most prudent for you to vote in opposition of the S.1639/S.1348 Bill. That is, if you are a true representative of American citizens, your voting constituents.

Don't embarass yourself or your Nation by aligning with the S.1639/S.1348 Bill. The S.1639/S.1348 Bill is so flawed that it is not even worthy of Senate debate or consideration. Get this Bill off the Senate floor!

VOTE NO on the Immigration Bill S.1639/S.1348!

This is a BS question. Don't you love this fixation with illegals "working." Many, if not MOST, of them DON'T.

Let's rephrase that question. Do you think illegals BURDENING emergency rooms and BURDENING our schools and BURDENING social services are a....burden?

Or if they had included some crime reference, the number would be much higher. I think about the effect (definately a "burden") illegal aliens have on life itself:

12 people per day who are killed by DUI or car wrecks
12 people per day who are murdered

Putting that statistic into a question would probably show that Americans have ZERO TOLERANCE for this.
