Thread: Your Phone Calls AUTOMATICALLY SUPPORT BUSH's AMNESTY

"Word on the [cyber] street", as they say, is this:

If you call your Congressmen and say, "I oppose Amnesty" for illegals...

Then you are tallied as in favor of Bush's bill...

Because Bush has declared that his bill "is not Amnesty"...

And so if you "oppose amnesty", "just like" Bush according to his claims, then you must support Bush's "not amnesty" bill...

Have I been clear? You cannot just say, "I oppose amnesty"...
Rather, you must specifically cite the actual bill number. You must say, I oppose the Immigration Reform Bill(s), S.1639 or H.R.750, H.R.1645, H.R.1930.

If you get sloppy, you will wind up supporting Bush's "Amnesty except it's not" plan.

Um right now we are saying "no" on cloture for S1639 among other things...

I always start my message this way....

I OPPOSE S1639!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been ending some of them saying that the American people KNOW that CORRUPT SENATORS created this bill......any YES vote on cloture speaks LOUD AND CLEAR THAT YOU ARE CORRUPT SENATOR!

The point about "cloture" is good. But what else am I missing?

Senator, the president is lying to the American people about S1369. S1369 is AMNESTY & the borders will not be secured & you know it!

That's what I (tried to) say. Bush is saying "it's not Amnesty"... of course it is Amnesty, but Bush says otherwise.

Therefore, whenever people call in and say they "oppose Amnesty", they're "just like Bush" who "opposes Amnesty too"...

and therefore they are tallied in Bush's camp.

Bush then takes those polls to Congress and says, "based upon constituent phone calls, 80% of Americans are with Bush".

PS OliverMyBoy, I think your post has a typo — you say "S.1369" instead of "S.1639".
