MALDEF hopes Web site is antidote to anti-immigration sentiment

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Latino group has launched a Web site that its creators hope will be an antidote to the spread of myths and false information about immigrants.

John Trasvina, president of Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, said today that the airwaves are dominated by anti-immigrant sentiment. He says his group launched the Web site to provide facts and contrary arguments to statements in media and on the Internet.

Peter Zamora, the group's Washington regional counsel, acknowledged the site is not the equivalent of an hourlong show on cable television or a talk show on radio. But he says many anti-immgration groups use the Web to spread their messages.

Thus, instead of Nazi's, we have groups such as La Raza, LULAC and Maldef, to name a few, who would like to control what the public hears and knows so they can keep telling their lies about illegal immigration.

YES, talk about the spread of myths and false information. Open border groups like this seem to have mastered the art.

Yeah, there's always that twist on words, so convenient, but then again, that is typical of any socialist/communist ideals, they have to twist words and reality in an attempt to brainwash the public to their ways.
