I suggested to Nelson staff persons that possibly his elevator is not stopping on all the floors since he consistently votes with Princess Diane of California and we all know that she is dumber than dirt. Guess I am angry today. Actually the staff people laughed. Must be the delivery and not the words.

I have called and called zeezil. Will they sell our sovereignty out to international organizations? Will we slip further under possible UN rule?
If you have not called, emailed, faxed, please do so.

SCHIP has been discussed so far this morning. We need to call our Senators on this bill too that would allow illegal aliens access to more health insurance .
Can we bear any more taking? Senator Cornyn just said that illegal aliens would have access. CALL, EMAIL, FAX.

Response from Jim DeMint on LOST
Thank you for contacting me regarding your opposition to the ratification of the United Nations Convention on Law of the Sea (LOST). I appreciate hearing from you.
As you may know, President Bush recently urged the Senate to act on the United Nations Law of the Sea Convention during this session of Congress . This treaty was originally drafted in 1982, formally ratified by the United Nations in 1994, and to date has 154 member countries.
Like you, I understand the desire to codify existing territorial and sovereignty traditions and practices. However, I believe that in a world of increasing hostility and economic unrest, it is important we maintain our complete sovereignty as a nation. Joining the Law of the Sea Treaty under the United Nations would sacrifice the national economic and security interests of the United States to an in ternational organization vulnerable to corruption, with few available avenues for oversight.
Currently, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, of which I am a member, has completed two hearings for this treaty. Rest assured, when the Law of the Sea Treaty is brought up for a vote in the C ommittee, I will vote against it .
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me. Please feel free to contact me again in the future with anything important to you or your family. It is an honor to serve you and the people of South Carolina .
Sincerely,
Jim DeMint
United States Senator
