Thread: Treason In New Haven!

Here is a summary of a news report broadcast on National Public Radio this morning. It comes from the website of the NPR show "Morning Edition":

"City officials in New Haven, Conn., expect to vote Monday on the rollout of a municipal identification card that would afford illegal immigrants opportunities common to other residents, such as banking. All residents may apply for the card. The city would be the first in the nation to issue ID cards to illegal immigrants."

The full report quoted the town's mayor as saying "these people (illegal laborers) are good for our economy." He has forbidden law enforcement officials to question people about their immigration status. Apparently, the entire New Haven city council supports this treason. I was stunned by the willingness of an elected official to break the law in plain sight. How did America ever come to this?

Here is the letter I sent to NPR not five minutes ago:

I was outraged by the report about ID cards being issued to illegal aliens in New Haven. I'm going to write the President and Senators Claire McCaskill and Kit Bond about it. The Mayor and City Council members should all be arrested and charged with treason! That's what it is when you compromise national security in a time of war by encouraging border violations! The brazen attitude of the Mayor about breaking the law is what shocked me most. To actually forbid police officers from questioning suspected illegals! It reminded of me of some corrupt frontier town! The entire city of New Haven should be considered a security risk! So should any other city that pursues similar public policy, and I know that others exist.

As promised, I've also written to my Senators and to the President.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Board of Aldermen is ready to vote on a proposal to allow the city to issue identification cards for illegal immigrants and others.

Supporters said a municipal identification card would help assimilate illegal immigrants, as well as provide a range of benefits to other residents who may not have official IDs, such as the elderly and children.

The card would be recognized as official identification within city limits, allowing illegal immigrants to open bank accounts. The card also would provide all holders access to city services, from parks to libraries, and function as a type of limited debit card.

Michael Wishnie, a Yale Law School professor who researched the ID plan, said it is the only one of its kind he has seen in the country.

Mayor John DeStefano had first suggested the identification cards in October 2005 as part of a program to make city and other services more accessible. At the time DeStefano said he wanted to give illegal immigrants a legitimate form of ID so they can open bank accounts, prove their identity to police and access social services.

But Ted Pechinski, an opponent of illegal immigration who is organizing a demonstration against the proposal, said ID cards would encourage more illegal immigration.

"I don't know why they don't realize they are illegals," Pechinski, a member of Southern Connecticut Citizens for Immigration Reform said.

Pechinski said illegal immigrants "flood our schools and hospitals." The ID cards will encourage more to come to New Haven, he said, and eventually surrounding communities.

The group has been distributing letters and e-mails against the program, which DeStefano denounced as "race-based hate mail."

June 4, 07 remember this day New Haven ,this day will be referred to in history as the sunset of our Nation. I am deeply concerned about the cavalier and open manner in which Destefano and his cronies flaunt and intentionally subvert the law (US code 8.) and the underhanded and secretive techniques they use to subvert it. Remember this New Haven, the radical left and international corperate interests salivate at the very thought of the MUNICIPAL I.D. It fits in with their plan of replacing LEGAL AMERICANS with less demanding, lower maintainance, less educated and less costly SERFS. I must say I'm surprised and disappointed at how easily the traitors; the leftests and despots at NH city hall have outwitted and coersced what has proven to be a politically ignorant and disinterested public while hardly breaking a sweat . Tommorrow will tell the story... it appears LEGAL AMERICANS are willing to trade their quality of life, for the price of a shiny new card they can swipe thru a parking meter. Well, when 100,000 or so ILLEGALS come to town and swipe your jobs using THEIR NEWLY ACQUIRED MUNICIPAL ID'S... maybe you can use your new card to feed the meter...in front of the unemployment office.

THE "Z" SHAMNESTY....

All Aboard America, you've got a one way ticket to the third world! The following whiny, self-righteous words sicken me. "No sensible person is suggesting that we deport 12 million illegals." Slow down there---am I sensible? Let me see---no stripes with plaid.. Check. Do I have the urge to dive into the shark tank at Mystic Aquarium with a mackeral clenched between my teeth? NO! Checkbook balanced? YES. Am I planning to play twister on the passing lane of I-95 soon? NO!. Hey---I AM SENSIBLE. Building a ladder to the Moon is NOT sensible. Deporting 12 million illegals ( actual number is probably closer to 30 million). Sensible, lawful and imperative.

Let's be sensible here. The Senate would boo-hoo over the spectre of 12 million (for argument's sake) poor illegals getting rounded up and deported, but they have no problem with IMPORTING 100 MILLION NEW Mexican, Cen. & So American invaders in accordance with the friends and family portion of the "Z" Shamnesty . Of course the Dems are okay with this anti-American pathway to civil war legislation and of course the bananna republicans are to frightend to stand up in oppisition. All these new voters provide a block vote and guess who are pandering to it? ALL OF THEM!.

You've been fired America and the illegals are your replacements.They (the Pols) have no problem importing over 100 million people against our will; against our law; and against our culture. Our nation will never recover and we will be totally overrun. Our European customs and traditions smashed and well on the road to "Reconquista". Once again, we the people own this Nation we didn't okay the Senate to give it away to Mexico. We don't need 'The Day of the Dead'. We like Halloween just fine, thanks. It suffices to leave you today with this thought; 'The more we sniff, the stronger the stink... The "Z" Shamnesty must be defeated at all costs. This legislation is nothing short of the destruction of the Western World in North America. I don't know about you, but I am not okay with that. Thanks.

New Haven mayor and Democrat John DeStefano [1] is running for governor of Connecticut against Republican incumbent M. Jodi Rell. DeStefano has several links to a New Haven group called "JUNTA for Progressive Action" [2], a group which is collaborating with the Mexican government. [3] That group also has links to several other organizations and community leaders.

Perhaps the closest link is that DeStefano's campaign manager is married to the head of JUNTA [4]:
