According to Cornell political scientist Peter Enns, conservatives are beginning to break through across the country. Based on “measures of policy mood for eac state from the 1950s to 2010,” Enns and his colleague Julianna Koch found that there has been a conservative opinion shift in every single state across the country. Most of the increases were “statistically significant”; the same held true for regions.

Between 1964 and 2010, America shifted heavily when asked whether every person should be provided a job by the government, or whether government should allow everyone to get ahead individually. Asked whether Washington was becoming too powerful, the country has again shifted dramatically.

Those statistics do not hold true on same-sex marriage, and there is no question that policy liberalism grew during the 1980s, but then reversed itself. The bad news: the public moves in the opposite direction of policy – so should Republicans win, public opinion is likely to swing to the left. Nonetheless, the study suggests that America has moved steadily to the right since the full-fledged embrace of the welfare state.

All we have to do is tax and spend MORE...

Unemployment, the REAL numbers of working age, able-bodied people without work, is 36%.

The banking, housing and auto industries are still not at Pre-Obama levels.

Gas prices have come down recently- some- but they are still around a dollar to dollar and a half HIGHER than Pre-Obama levels.

Yet Democrats "think" that the answer is raising taxes...oh, and spending more!!

IF raising taxes and having more spending is the "answer" I'd like to know what the question is?!!

Crikey! If Obama's "recovery" gets any "better" the U.S. will soon be a 4th World economy, and dropping!

SPENDING DEAL SWAMPED BY SENATE

No one can accuse Senate Democrats of merely rejecting House proposals for restarting the government. The government will reach its debt limit Thursday, and for some reason Democrats think that's a good reason to increase spending. Over the weekend, they demanded that debt ceiling negotiations begin at pre-sequester funding levels. But the Senate couldn't even pass a bipartisan proposal from not-exactly-Tea-Party-extremist Susan Collinsto maintain current spending levels until March with a debt limit increase good through January. House Republicans, meanwhile, weren't at all pleased that Senate Republicans were trying to cut them out of a deal, but they also backed off many of their demands, especially regarding ObamaCare, only to have Barack Obama reject a deal.

Of course, the end game for Obama and Senate Leader Harry Reid isn't to avert "default" or end the shutdown -- it's to hang blame around Republicans' necks.

So, for the 18th time (for those keeping count) America has hit the MAX on their DEBT. I.e., we have gone horribly, egregiously, despicably into DEBT!!
Liberals snooping around and spying us out, DEBT IS NOT A GOOD THING!

17 TIMES WE HAVE ALREADY RAISED "THE DEBT LIMIT"!!

My first question is:

"Why call it a 'limit' if you will just raise it as we start to approach it?"

My next question is this:

"Wouldn't make better fiscal/economic sense to cut spending, to lower, even STOP spending money we do NOT have?"

And those are just my questions to the spending side of the equation.

Now, to the tax side of the issue.


Let me ask a simple question, which is MORE?

10% of a $1,000,000?
or
20% of $100,000?

No, Liberals...this is not a "trick question".

I know that 20% is a higher percentage rate...but 20% of $100,000 is $20,000- WHILE 10% (a LOWER rate) of $1,000,000 is, wait for it, $100,000.

And MORE people would have MORE"Ka-Ching $$$" if the tax rates were LOWER.

Meaning that with LOWER tax rates there would be MORE REVENUE!

Yeah....there use to be a FEW Democrats that understood math...use to be.

"Yeah, but I bet those stinking, filthy '1%-ers" that the OWS, Obama and the Democrats rail against don't pay any taxes..."

Now THAT is the honest to goodness truth...yet Liberal Nut-Jobs like Obama, Reid and Pelosi want to not only raise taxes, they want to HIKE them to catastrophic heights.

1. NO poor person ever hired ONE person.
2. NO poor person ever created ONE job.
3. Tax Hikes (punishing) on the Producers/Investors KILLS jobs.
4. You can NOT tax your way to prosperity.
5. You can NOT spend your way out of debt.
6. Unpaid debt will KILL the economy.
7. Printing and borrowing $$$ to pay off a debt is NOT paying off a debt.

We can NOT continue doing what we've been doing much longer and remain a free, sovereign and prosperous nation. CAN NOT- AND WILL NOT.

This is not "being mean".

Math does not know what being mean is. This is simply the factual statement ofreality.
