Petition to the President and Congress of the United States of America

Whereas, the government of the United States has failed in its Constitutional duty to uphold the duly enacted immigration laws of the United States; and

Whereas, the Congress of the United States has attempted to pass legislation that is opposed by the majority of the citizens of the United States;

Therefore, We the people of the United States in accordance with our right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances, do hereby demand the following:

That the President and Congress cease any and all attempts at any "comprehensive immigration reform". We have adequate laws, they simply are not being enforced.

That Congress immediately appropriates all funds necessary to provide the federal government and various state governments all resources necessary to enforce our existing immigration laws.

That Congress immediately establish a Joint Committee to oversee the implementation of the items above. This committee shall work to ensure that the current laws are being enforced by those agencies responsible for their enforcement.

Above all, we view securing our borders as an urgent matter of National Security and demand that this issue be a stand-alone priority separate from any immigration reform. We demand that Congress act now on this issue, and with no half steps or impotent measures.
