I left the UK nine years ago. It has had its immigrant population problem for more than forty years when India became independent and any of their people who wished to emigrate were allowed to.

Now there are the eastern europeans flooding in faster than you can see.

Not sure there are any true British people left any more below the age of 60.

If the USA does not learn from such examples it is exactly what is happening here right now.

Some times unpopular decisions need to be made by governments to prevent such difficulties in their country's future.

However, it is not usual for any politician of any party to be willing to give up their well paid job to do what might be the right thing.
