Thread: WHAT'S WRONG WITH AMERICA?

Well someone clue me in. I have noticed that today to be an American is the most offensive thing, then on top of that, Lord forbid you're a white American. Now maybe we have some members here who are not white, and they can explain to me why on Hannity and Colmes that this fella who is a politician (sorry I did not catch his name) from NY (?) who is African-American said that sometimes when he see's a white person he just wants to go up to them and hit them!!

EXCUSE ME? Now tell me, if I or my husband said that to anyone, LORD would there be trouble. Why then is it ok for people of other races to bash us, on national TV no less, but if one remark is made by someone other than them, you're asking for trouble. Wrong is wrong, none of its ok to me.

Also, why is it suddenly that Americans are all hated? Maybe I'm out of the loop, but it seems that it's been a sudden thing that I've been hearing about anti-American sentiment from everywhere. Now don't start the BS about Bush being to blame, because we've had other presidents in the past that have made some choices other leaders have not agreed with, and all has been well before. Iraq is not the reason as many Iraqi's have said they are glad to have the help to get things going, for their own freedom. So.....WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?

Are we so hated that travel abroad is a really bad idea? Is it because we have stopped being so nice about things? My husband said that his own biased opinion is that we have been successful and have a united nation, something the so-called "civilized" European nations have yet to do successfully, and our incomes are better (well I argue that statistic) and our oportunities are better. He said it is overall envy. Tell me, educate me, I want to know why this is going on.
