We need to draw line on illegal immigration
I am in favor of Senate Bill 335 authored by Sen. Mike Delph. Unless this bill specifically targets Hispanics, why has Mary Jane Gonzalez taken such a defensive stance? Does this mean she and the Indiana State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce believe Hispanics are the primary offenders? Why is this organization condoning illegal activities of anyone and if they are already beginning to "see folks flee," these folks must be aware of the fact that they are breaking the law. How and where do we draw the line regarding allowing lawbreakers to overtly continue to be aided and abetted by those who hire illegals without checking their documentation? American citizens must produce legal identification to cash checks, use credit cards, qualify for senior discounts, and countless other activities. As a senior citizen and resident of this city, I find not requiring proper status documentation to be discrimination against myself and other American citizens.
All illegal actions must be stopped and lawbreakers must be made to answer for committing crimes, whether misdemeanor or felony level.
