Please phone again today to battle leaders trying to cripple E-Verify

DEAR FRIENDS,

Thanks for the tens of thousands of faxes and countless phone calls you made yesterday.

This is one of those battles that is going to take day after day of effort. If you didn't make the phone calls yesterday, please do so today.

Find the links on the NumbersUSA.com home page: http://www.numbersusa.com/content/ to all the actions and information on the current crisis to save the E-Verify system (which keeps illegal aliens out U.S. jobs).

If you are one of the few people who didn't have a Senator or Representative to fax or call on your corkboard, you may want to call one of Sen. Menendez' offices today and tell them that his "hold" on E-Verify authorization threatens great harm to your state because his action would deny businesses the ability to keep illegal aliens out of jobs.

If you live in Georg ia, Oklahoma or Arizona, or any other state, city or county that has mandated the use of E-Verify, call Sen. Menendez and protest his threatening to take away the chief tool that your own government has adopted to protect local workers from unfair foreign labor competition.

2nd # answered,then hung up.

3nd # talked to young man in menendez office who told me this he is protecting familys by holding EVerify . I ask who's families, he is suppose to be proteting American families ! That Americans are losing jobs everyday by the 1000s because of immigrantion .

It was a young man that answered who beleives this crap . The poor youth are brainwashed ,they don't realize they are helping to finish off their futures .

- E-Verify is 99.5% accurate

- Please ensure that the E-Verify program is reauthorized for a minimum of ten years (preferable with no sunset period).

- The Ways and Means Committee is trying to weaken the E-Verify program by entertaining a proposal that would only reauthorize the program for three years. It is clear that certain members on the Committee are bowing to pressure from corporate lobbyists who want the opportunity to destroy the bill in the near future.
