Thread: Quick Rant , Wis union thugs

I've been watching this garbage in Wisconsin the last couple days.

First off , I'm a union member , NO , I do not agree with my union at this time , but my union represents private sector employees , Over the last 10 years our benny and other things have spiraled downhill , We have more co pays , less coverage , longer wait times to be covered and losses in retirement and other benefits

Its time these morons in public service jobs GET WITH THE REST OF

Anymore unions aren't anything but fat cats and supporters of illegal aliens

Since HObama took office he's added 250,000 federal and local government jobs, and the crap they're teaching in school now, you're right fire the lot of them, including the Dems who bailed, I'm sure with unemployment at 9.5

Rather than seeing all unions busted, I would prefer that union membership wins it leadership back from OBL control. Unions used to be leading voices against open borders. Samuel Gompers (founder of the AFL) was one of the most outspoken critics of the 1965 Immigration Reform Act. Caesar Chavez was essentially the first Minuteman. Unions leaders today are just not representing their membership on illegal immigration. Just like Bush and McCain don't represent their parties membership on illegal immigration. The answer is getting these unions back for their members. If we can't do that, we will never be able to do it at the executive level.

Illegals are easy pickins to sign up as members and pay dues

That means they are "union" members

In Vegas all the construction unions are on the East side of town, They hold "fiestas" in their parking lots , not a word of English , everything is in spanish

Plumbers , Electricians, Carpenters, Laborers

Who in the heck tells teachers what to teach? Politicians? I can tell you one thing, teachers all over the USA are about fed up with being the country's whipping boys. We are tired of being blamed for messes politician make when they and liberals from our IVY league colleges design our curriculum. We are tired of having politically correct, feel good phrases like "rigor, relevance, and relationships" being shoved down our throats when we know our curriculum is about 50 years out of date. We are fed up with being held responsible for kids that for the most part parents don't give a crap about. We are fed up with taking heat because school administrators, and board members prefer playing politics with or jobs and kids futures. Fire them all, hell I say we all need to walk off the job and quite teaching. Who the heck is going to want to do this job in the future when the public hates you, parents hate you, politicians hate you and school administration hates you.

Here is my suggestion. As published in a Harvard study, we cant teach relevance in a lesson because there is nothing in our curriculum that has any relevance to the world today. Kids need a skill, a high school and college degree for the most part do nothing to give kids a skill to compete in this economy. We need to take on the same educational model that most of the schools in the rest of the world have and train kids at 9-10 grade in a vocation. In Sweeden that spend 3 days in an apprenticeship and 2 days in the classroom. Once they graduate high school they are certified to actually do something. Those that prefer to go to college can take an alternate route. As it is kids see no relevance so they drop out or cause problems. So school ave become a baby sitting service for low income parents that can't afford one. We pick them up, feed them breakfast, entertain them all day, feed them lunch, give them snacks after school and take them home. Parents and kids have absolutely no accountability in the educational process unless they chose to take it. Most don't.

We load our school up with illegal aliens who don't see any value in education and teachers are held accountable for educating them. Unbelievable! I can't believe teachers have put up with this crap for as long as they have.

The 2nd thing I see solving our educational problems is privatizing school. Get the federal and state governments our of teaching all together. Run school like a business. We spend money in school like it is going our of style. We have Promethean boards in every classroom, video projectors everywhere including the damn cafeteria, computers all over the place. Why do we need this crap when we still have the old blackboard and still have books. Let teachers teach and quit trying to entertain kids with the latest technology. If you start running a school like a business all of this waste will stop.

We are going to get rid of 100,000 teachers in Texas and schools are telling us to spend all of the money in our budgets or we won't get it back. Heck don't tell me that money couldn't be used next year when we won't have money. It doesn't just evaporate. But are told by administrators to waste money. Of course, it is money taxpayers cough up so who cares?

So fire all the teachers are who are getting tired of being blamed. Most of us are not part of any union as I am. They turn my stomach. But just as the teacher in Wisconsin, most of are fed up with politicians, fed up with the negative media coverage and fed up with all the people who have absolutely no idea what goes on in a school trying to tell us how to do our jobs.

Still, the vast majority of union membership in this nation are American citizens, as I'm sure they are in your own union. It is up to union membership to wrest control back. Even though there are illegals in unions too, it is still much easier for Americans to take back their unions at a grassroots level, than it is to outcompete the Chamber of Commerce to nominate a pro-enforcement Republican presidential candidate. I contend that if it is immpossible to take our unions back to their immigration restrictionist roots, then it is also impossible to nominate a pro-enforcement Republican presidential candidate.
