How many here listened to the Presidents' speech on immigration just now? I noticed he used the phrase "during this transition..." three different times. "Transition" to WHAT exactly?

He also added the obligatory reference to America being a "melting pot". Well at least here in California the immigrants from Mexico are not melting! They want to make California as much like Mexico as possible and they don't seem to have any interest in becoming Americans.
