Mexico's new I.D. cards; don't show them to the gringos
The new I.D. card, don't leave home without it, but don't take it across the border either.

Mexico's new I.D. cards; don't show them to the gringos

During all of the furor over Arizona’s SB1070 immigration enforcement law last spring, one of the most egregious attacks on the sovereignty of the border state came in the form of a highly inappropriate and insulting speech by Mexican President Calderó n before the U.S. Congress.
As the Democrat dominated chamber applauded the attack on Arizona, our hapless commander in chief and his constitutionally challenged attorney general were threatening legal action despite having not taken the time to have read the 10 page bill.
Comparisons were made to Nazi Germany and liberals expressed outrage over the mere thought that Arizona police officers would be demanding to see the papers of anyone who appeared to be Hispanic. Naturally the new law (which mirrors federal statutes) included appropriate constitutional protections and did not allow for the indiscriminate checking of papers, but never-the-less the Democrats and their fellow travelers in the MSM pressed their agenda driven attack and legal action from the federal government is still ongoing.
Fast forward nine months. The UK Telegraph reports that the Mexican government of President Calderó n is instituting a high-tech new I.D. system which will be in place by 2013. The new cards which will include an iris scan, fingerprints, photo and signature are said to be 99% reliable. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... a86fea%2C0

Well put alot of troops and equipment on the border and we can secure it and also stop mexico from flooding our country with drugs as well. We need to stop playing nice at the border especially when it comes to illegals and drugs coming via waterway. BP cannot stop any boat on the water but can save people if they are in danger of drowning. If they are swimming back to Mex they cannot be stopped even if they have bundles of drugs in their possession. We need to make it a firm policy of if found entering you WILL be intercepted. On or off the water. Also Mexico needs to be made aware that the US will not toletate any climbing of the wall or fence. ZERO TOLERANCE. We also will not tolerate being shot at from across the border. That has to stop NOW!

Sure they are going to Califirnia. To illegals California is a sanctuary state where they get free food, free medical, free education and the blessing and shelter from the latino community who parade and cry every time any steps to crack down on illegals. They almost rioted when they found out that the REAL AMERICAN PUBLIC endorced and called for the shooting down of the DREAM ACT. Until California takes an overall stand to eliminate the illegals neighborhoods, stop sheltering and supporting them, then they can expect that state to continue to become the port of entry for illegals and their families.

CBP Border Patrol Adds Two Boats to Patrol Coastal Waters
(Wednesday, August 03, 2005)
San Diego, CA. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol has added two new boats to help keep San Diego’s coastal waters safe. San Diego Sector’s Marine Interdiction Unit (MIU) is the Border Patrol’s only full time marine unit in the United States. The MIU is an important part of the National Border Patrol Strategy and helps to achieve its overall goal: operational control of our nation’s border. Achieving the new Border Patrol Strategy requires having the right combination of highly trained and well-equipped Border Patrol agents, which includes marine assets.
The MIU’s primary mission is preventing terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the territorial waters of the United States while continuing to advance its traditional mission of interdicting and apprehending alien and narcotic smugglers.
The San Diego Sector’s MIU was created in 1992 and until recently, consisted of three 24-foot rigid hull inflatable patrol boats. The unit is phasing out the prior fleet of vessels in favor of the new and advanced boats. The new fleet is larger, faster, has improved radar, and has already interdicted several smuggling loads. The MIU added a 25’ Safeboat, a 30’ Intrepid, and plans to add another 30’ Intrepid later this year.
In addition to working with the United States Coast Guard, the Border Patrol’s MIU works closely with legacy Customs Marine Enforcement Officers, the Harbor Police, the Marine Task Force, and other local, state, and federal agencies. In the first ten days after receiving the new fleet, the MIU seized several boats involved in alien smuggling and rescued two boaters in distress. The MIU also helped rescue passengers from the America’s Cup yacht, “Stars and Stripes.â€NO AMNESTY

If it was determined that the maydays came from illegals trying to get into the US or drug smugglers, the Coast Guard should have called Mexico and told them to come get their people. Leave it at that.
