Waukegan has a party for deported who have returned!!!

I thought I've seen it all -but here was a post on our board tonight. She further states that our police know about the party.

On Friday night I drove past the Puerto Rican Society at 10:30 p.m. and it was packed with a sign indicating that it was a party for all the people who had previously been deported but came back (I assume illegally) to the United States. How can these type of events be allowed to take place??

So can I ask this board. Once you are deported that's it right?! You can't get a green card, or take steps towards citizenship? I would like to report back this information.

This party was not held at a private home -I'm sure that goes around everywhere. This was at a hall, like a Moose Lodge building for goodness sake. Anyone know any reporters who would like to take up this story? Lou Dobbs? Feel free to connect them to us.

You have said that you do not actually read Spanish. Some of us do and though we would like to honor your concerns without seeing the original text we can not take your interpretation as accurate. You should have copied it down and posted it.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Fedup; this is disgusting if true! No wonder you're "fedup"! Maybe everyone needs to start carrying cameras so if we come across something like this we can photograph the evidence. I hope this person reports what they saw and pushes the issue?

Once deported, to return a second time illegally is a felony. Also, if you are deported then you are prohibited from applying for legal entry for 10 years.

But since our borders are as porous as a sponge, some come back 3, 4, or 5 times, and thats multiple felony counts. But yet they aren't made to pay for the crime.

Point well taken Richard and thank you.

I know the person who reported this. I'm not yhave1. She then spoke to a Waukegan policeman this weekend and he confirmed what she saw. Our police knew about the party?!

Yes, what I wouldn't give to have a picture of that sign! (By the way, I am not a fluent reader in Spanish, but I can get maybe 50% or more of the text.)

Thank you William. I will put that information on our board. The main reason this is really throwing me is that our police department has told me personally that they deport people who have committed further crimes (robbery, drugs, predators...) from our community. So THIS more than likely are the folks that are coming back.

As a Puert Rican born American citizen I'm offended by this. It would not surprise me if this event actuallly took place. Many Puerto Ricans and other spanish groups have chosen to support the illegals solely because they are spanish even though we have illegals from other countries as well. They feel that they are tied to this issue because of language and history. In fact, Puerto Ricans should not associate themselves with this issue at all. Puerto Ricans are born American citizens and they have fought for this country for many years in many wars. They should support the American way of life and the opportunities that have been provided to them by this great Nation. Say whatever you want, if not for the United States, Puerto Rico would be in ruins. I know this comment may be seen by some in the spanish community as shameful but Puerto Ricans should see themselves as Americans. The ones that do not are just trying to flex some pride in something that has no merit. I for one call it as it is, and I'm not the most popular person in these types of conversations. The law is the law and nobody has the right to make up their own rules. Shame on these people for supporting an illegal action. They should be prosecuted!

That is ridiculous. This is "in your face" mentality, and it irks the hell out of me. These people should be picked up by ICE. Our lawmakers just don't seem to care, and ALL of them should be fired! I know many people who would gladly take their jobs, since they just don't want to do them!

Blood boiling alert! What nerve! Absolutely outrageous....where is ICE when you need them?
