Police Arrest Youth at Richmond BART Station;

Youth were going to protest ICE raids & deportations in San Francisco

NNIRR just received a report that police arrested youth en masse at the Richmond BART Station. They were on their way to San Francisco to join a protest against ICE raids and deportations.

This is a blatant attack on immigrant communities to silence and intimidate communities who are demanding justice and human rights and end to all raids, detentions and deportations.

Police harassment and arrest is a violation of our right to freedom of assembly and speech. Richmond police or BART police must be held accountable and all youth who were arrested must be immediately released without charges.

NNIRR just received a report that police arrested youth en masse at the Richmond BART Station. They were on their way to San Francisco to join a protest against ICE raids and deportations.

Too bad they weren't out front arresting them as they showed up! That would have been the BEST news to come out of this protest.

WHAT WALKOUT? THEY JUMPED THE GATES AT BART AND THEN HELD THE DOORS OF THE TRAINS OPEN SO THEIR COHORTS COULD ENTER THE TRAIN....AND TO KEEP THE TRAIN FROM MOVING. HOW IS THAT A WALKOUT? WHAT DID THEY WALK OUT OF?
