This country needs spending cuts, not closed-door deals

John Boehner and the Republicans sold out. They gave the president the power to spend a couple trillion more of our hard-earned dollars and wrote another blank check.

One wonders why Congress and the president have to meet behind closed doors, and why "We the People" are not allowed to hear what they are dealing with. It scares me, because I do not trust them to do the right thing. I have a few cuts they can make now; Social Security would have trillions in it today if the government had not stolen out of it and put T-bills in. When T-bills are repaid, we are paying into Social Security twice.

Think about all the programs and money we send out of our country. It is time to think of Americans first. Even with this passed, we must let them know what real cuts we want made now, not during the next 10 years.

» Stop payment of all funding to illegal immigrants in this country. If we do that, they will voluntarily return to their homes.

» Cut all foreign aid.

» Bring our troops home and place them on the borders to keep possible terrorists out.

» We pay more than $1 billion a day for recent wars in Egypt and Libya. That is an illegal act Congress needs to defund and take Obama to task for his disregard of our Constitution.

» Congress told Obama to get rid of the czars he has placed on different commissions. Defund them.

» Defund the Patriot Act and Homeland Security.

» Cut the National Education Association and the Energy Department started to make us less dependent on foreign oil -- we are more dependent now than ever before.

» Audit the Federal Reserve, then dissolve it. Get the Communist United Nations out of the U.S. and the U.S. out of the U.N.

» Get out of all free trade deals, such as NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO. They are killing our once-great nation. Evidently that is their goal.
