My apologies for not posting-as promised-the second part of my May Day photo-essay. There is some great coverage of May 1st by our friends at Vigilant Squirrel Brigade though, including footage of the attack upon NY ICE. You can find multiple videos of the confrontation-and what led up to it-on VSB’s Youtube channel. You can also find some fantastic photographs over at The Silent Majority No More.

thank you for sharing this. It is scary that the communists are able to put so many people into our streets. I noticed that it seemed to be about 90% younger people with a spattering of their communist tutors.

Its like the 1960s all over again. The naivety of these folks always depresses me. Its as if they think some unknown god is going to grant their petitions for a better world if they shout them out or carry them written on signs. There is so much energy wasted. How much better the world could be if all these people used their brains and muscles to make improvements. Things like helping Habitat for Humanity build homes for the homeless, helping the unemployed find jobs, tutoring the ignorant, and fixing up the city are what people who really wanted to improve things would be doing. But these things aren't nearly as much fun. I must admit if I joined in the fun I would carry an "occupy Mexico" sign.
