I second the fact of a good read.

I read most of this blog a year ago, one of the main reasons I started buying silver and food.

I will pass this on to my wife. She grew up in Buenos Aires and lived there up until May, 2003. I know she has told me many times that you can't tell the difference between the police and criminals and if you report a crime, you are probably reporting the police. So people usually don't report anything. One time when I was there we heard automatic gun fire outside my wife's home. I looked out the window and saw a cop chasing a man down the street firing at him. Finally it ended by the park with more gun fire. Of course my wife was scared that I had witnessed this and feared the police might do something because they probably murdered someone in the park and I might have been a witness.

My wife and her family lost every dime they owned in 2001. the government froze all bank accounts and would only let them have what the government chose to give them The economy was 1:1 with dollar and most everyone had US dollars. The government then turned all of their money into a much lesser value peso. She still has money in the bank there that could not be taken out and a home that could not be sold.
