Romney can easily beat Hillary or Obama

Romney can easily beat Hillary or Obama because he can put them on the spot for their amnesty agenda, something McCain would never do.

Consider that the vast majority of Americans support Romney's opposition to illegal immigration and he's a winner. Plus he is the most articulate debater and conducts himself like a gentleman and a statesman.

Romney also has been a faithful husband to his first and only wife

No kidding. Romney is super intelligent, articulate and would put anyone to shame. McCain is like Bush...and I'll leave it there. Does anyone know if McCain's wife is involved in her parents beer distribution plant? I bet its loaded with illegals. I'd be curious to know. If anyone from AZ has any take on this. Its like Pelosi and her Napa Valley wineries. Loaded with illegal labor.

Romney had a super opportunity last week during the debate when McCain was asked a question about the Comprehensive Immigration bill he co-sponsored. Romney should have hit him with everything he had but he just retreated and never addressed the issue. Very disappointing.

The only problem with your assumption is that you think the vast majority of Americans have illegal immigration as their top issue. How about this? Vast majority of people want out of Iraq. Doesn't mean the vast majority will vote for a Democrat. Why? Cause that's not their number one issue. You have to find a balance between ALL the issues. And right now, the American people are generally sick and tired of the Republicans. A Democrat President is more probable than not.

Yes, Romney also should have also confronted McCain over his "Mexico First" advisor, Juan Hernandez. Sometimes Romney can be too much of a gentleman. The gloves need to come off!

I think that is both a defeatist and unrealistic viewpoint. Illegal immigration is more important to everyday working Americans than the war because it is closer to home. And Romney is not really a war hawk as McCain is, so he will not suffer so much for his support of the war. In actuality, I think Romney will find a way to end the war because it is breaking us financially.
