Who did the work in America before illegal immigrants came here in overwhelming waves of illiterate, unskilled laborers.

Poor, unemployed-now Americans.

teenagers - young men and women- single mothers- homeless men used to be the ones who were picked up on street corners for day labor- and I mean american men who somehow lost their way. now they pick up cans by the road. working at macdonalds used to be considered a good first job in the black community- now it is mostly latinos .
my mother used to hire the teenage boy next door to do yard work- he is now a millionaire- but it wasnt too good for him then.
THe mantra:" We Take Jobs that Americans won't take " is a out and out lie.
No one goes to Harlem to recruit black men- no one wants homeless middleaged men for day work-
poor white men used to do roofing jobs- now it is illegals that do this hard work
