I disagree with you entirely. The Mexican culture has been here long before anyone else was. We need to quit destroying other countries provide services to all our people & quit wasting taxpayer's dollars on murdering people in other countries so they can live peacefully in their own country, not immigrate from their 3rd world country to our 3rd world country. Check www.sonomagreenparty.org/pamelaelizondo.html to find out how to implement workfare not warfare for all.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I'm a first generation immigrant who learned English, followed the citizenship requirements, embraced the educational system, and ADAPTED to my home. I learned English, and the ways of my new home! I integrated, and did not abandon all aspects of my former culture!

11.5 million ILLEGALS are laying claim to constitutional legal rights of U.S. CITIZENS to protest, employment, and representation, cluttering our cities and towns with their disregard for the law of the land! A simple check of legal identity will put a screeching halt to the mass of flagrant criminal lawbreakers assembling to have their right (to illegally immigrate and illegally work) be enshrined into their illegal vision of illegal immigration. All 11 million plus "immigrants" in the US that are here ILLEGALLY are, and always will be CRIMINALS!

They chose to break the law, and we should care less what the (economic) reasons are! Any country, including the countries these "immigrants" (CRIMINALS) are from have required visas,a valid passport, and a return ticket from U.S. Citizens PRIOR to entering their countries or territories! In fact, on entry, U.S. Citizens are warned NOT TO ENGAGE IN EMPLOYMENT OF ANY TYPE!

Since they are here ILLEGALLY, the majority of U.S. Citizens aresick and tired of paying for their illegal (anchor} babies, education, health care, taxes, vehicles, collisions, insurance, food aid, housing, lack of driver's licenses, etc. What really is unbelievable, though, is the nerve of these ILLEGALS to demand Spanish language instruction, and a refusal to integrate into our English speaking school system. They then become school drop outs, with no skills, who break the rules by working for illegal money, pay no taxes, and repatriate their illegal earnings to their"homeland", to fund and encourage their families to attempt to do the same! These criminals are paid much more for their labor than the average U.S. Citizen would be for equivalent work while paying Social Security and employment taxes! In addition, their illegal wages skew the ability of legal citizens to work. And don't tell me they only work jobs no one else wants! Nothing could be further from the truth.

The solution? Prohibit birthright U.S. Citizenship to illegal immigrants who come to the U.S. to bear their children. The status of any child born in the United States to illegal immigrants should be that of the parents' place of birth, if there are several generations of illegal birth attributed to a family, the country of origin of the original illegal immigrants will serve as default country of birth! All U.S. law enforcement agencies need to be empowered to start checking immigration status! A simple check of the "protesters" at rallies, to see exactly how many of those waving their fists in the air are entitled to a legal U.S. citizens right to protest! If found without papers, then arrest and funnel immediately to INS/Homeland Security to deport them on the spot. Anyone aiding and abetting the illegal flow of immigration (churches, businesses, family members, hospitals,NGO's, etc) should also be charged with conspiracy. Once a few million people get their walking papers, and their support organizations are held accountable, the militant mentality of organized and illegal criminal immigration will move to the underground---where it rightfully belongs! This would also certainly improve the porous nature of our present shambled Homeland Security!

Once arrested, and processed, it should be ascertained how long these illegals were in the country. Once this data is established, a general estimation of their work production (at minimum wage), schooling costs, health care costs, judicial costs, and other social costs can be attributed and assigned. These illegals will then have an opportunity to PAY THE COSTS FOR ALL THEIR BACK TAXES, PLUS PENALTIES FOR THEIR ILLEGAL INCOME, and all subsequent additional costs incurred by the communities that paid for services mentioned above. Illegals who are able to provide information which indicates corporate, church, business, or individual sponsorship, responsibility, involvement, and culpability during their illegal stay can, through testifying against their former employers, implicate them in the organized criminal hiring of labor, and thus shift the burden of financial compensation for social service costs to these corporations, businesses, churches, and individuals. Let those protesting, and their instigators and supporters pay for the damage they have caused, and the illegal behavior they have encouraged! And once enacted , and enforced, the tone of this farcical "civil rights" screaming would change! Rest assured, this is not an issue of enslavement, but rather, an issue of egregious violation of U.S. Constitutional Law, and illegal immigration for economic gain.

Please support the citizens of the USA in the figh against the Mexican invasion. We need you to uphold our laws for the sake of the future of our children and our country.

Otherwise it will indeed be a DARK future for us all.

    my final reply to her:

Every nation on the planet, including Mexico, has border enforcement far more severe than ours. Why is it wrong for us? The fabric of our nation and people is slowly and systematically going to be destroyed unless we protect it. Everyone else does..

President Bush says that the Senate guest-worker bill requires that those here illegally will have to "go to the back of the line" to become U.S. citizens. But so what? They're already here, they're staying, and they have their benefits, which are allowed to continue while they're waiting. This simply doesn't create any kind of disincentive for the migrants to enter illegally – just the opposite.

Illegal entry amounts to approximately half a million illegals per state on average if you accept the 20 to 30 million figure. This imposes enormous costs on the American worker at an individual level.

America provides a variety of benefits to its "residents," costing the American worker a large but unknown amount of money for each illegal entry.

The benefits they receive include the following:

    1. Welfare payments and food stamps

    2. Housing assistance

    3. Unemployment

    4. Social Security and SSI

    5. Medical services

    6. Education and school lunches

    7. Police protection.

    8. Worker's compensation

Unrestrained border crossings will continue to cost America dearly for generations to come, including the following impacts:

    1. Illegal immigrant-borne diseases like tuberculosis, AIDS, polio, plague, small pox and a host of other diseases that once were eradicated from within U.S. Borders.

    2. Criminals fleeing prosecution in Mexico will commit crimes here and if caught, will cost more money in the court system and correctional system.

3.Illegals smuggle drugs into the U.S. to pay for their guides and stolen identities.

    4. Terrorists get into the U.S. with the aim of killing Americans.
The immigration bill in the Senate doesn't address the problems of illegal entry. It rewards it.

The last time illegal aliens were given amnesty, back in 1986, that led to a surge in illegal entry from 3 million to 12 million. How many millions will enter illegally now that some version of amnesty is being offered again? Since the issue has heated up in 2006, illegal entry has begun to surge again.

Building a fence is a start, but it is far from a permanent solution. If illegals cannot get a job or welfare, they will stop coming, and those here already will go home on their own. No deportation will be required. Enforcement of the laws on the books with respect to employing illegals is a major component of any permanent solution and must involve severe fines. Businesses that hire illegals do so because they benefit from underpaying them – but this is at taxpayer expense. A cost must be imposed to create a disincentive to hiring illegals. Investigations, audits and other enforcement combined with severe fines against employers will provide the disincentive and will discourage illegals from entering this country.

The government must also provide employers with the ability to determine false documentation, including a readily available database of valid and invalid Social Security numbers with cross checking of addresses, birthdates or other means of verification so identity theft can be more readily determined. With computer technology, this should not be a daunting task at all.

Critics of the president's guest-worker plan call upon our government to get illegal entry under control before granting benefits or amnesty or whatever we choose to call it. Border enforcement and active deportation must be proven first before granting benefits, amnesty or any other carrot to people here illegally.

No one is against immigration. They are against unrestrained illegal entry into this nation with all of the burdens and risks involved. This is particularly so in a time of war.
I shall NOT be voting for you nor any of your party who do not agree to uphold our laws. I shall encourage my colleagues, friends and family to do the same, Unles you and your party change your stance regarding illegals.

BTW the Mexican culture having been here is a very falacious argument - Read this article:

    http://www.enterstageright.com/archive/ ... quista.htm

    excerpt:

...It was the Spanish that explored the Southwest and established the missions – not Mexican explorers or missionaries. After several centuries of Spanish control, Mexico gained independence from Spain in 1821. Then in 1848 Mexico ceded the Southwest US through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo when the US paid cash and assumed Mexican debt. At the time Americans outnumbered Mexicans about 5 to 1 in the area. Even without the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo sooner or later the settlers in the disputed territory would have followed Texas's lead and fought for their independence from Mexico just like Mexico fought for their independence from Spain 27 years earlier.
