You will never again have a long wait in an ER.

The other day, I needed to go to the emergency room.

Not wanting to sit there for 4 hours, I put on my old Army fatigues and stuck a patch that I had downloaded off the Internet onto the front of my shirt.

When I went into the E. R., I noticed that 3/4 of the people got up and left. I guess they decided that they weren't that sick after all.

Here's what the patch said..........

I have a border patrol hat I wear grocery shopping that gets people out of the way in the isles. Gets all kinds of looks from folks and I have even had people come up and ask me where I got it.

LOL, good idea cliffdid. I've wondered what would happen if a couple of us around here would put on T-shirts that said ICE across the back and go hang around the entrance of Tyson Foods. Maybe take a cooler of ice and if anyone said anything just say we were selling cups of ice.

Wearing fatigues is absolutely not a crime. Downloading Federal patches and sewing them onto fatigues and pretending to be a federal official, unfortunately is. It is a serious crime.

How bout if Cliff wore a federal uniform and got passed security at the airport, would you also be calling this a fashion statement?

As far as this being a "long standing email", that will be easily verified with hospital records, and the emergency room he visited.

The problem with the post is it may encourage people who are unaware of the law to do something against the law like impersonate an officer and that is VERY dangerous and is something we do not want to PROMOTE on Alipac!

You can put an INS patch on your fatigues. The INS no longer exists, it was replaced by ICE and USCIS. But most illegal aliens don't know that.

If anyone asks you can say INS stands for Independent National Security. Heck you could even spell that out in small letters on the front of the uniform.

How about we just keep calling, faxing and emailing and take care of the illegal problem that way, instead of thinking of ways to put on a uniform and fool a few illegals. To me it is still trying to impersonate an officer with tips on how to not get in trouble. NOT COOL!

I don't think Army fatigues with a paper patch stuck on them constitute impersonating a federal law enforcement official (it takes more than that). I frequently wear Army fatigues when turkey hunting and I can't imagine that a simple paper patch stuck to them would convince anyone that I was a part of the organization the "paper" patch identified.

Who said anything about "sewing" a patch on. Cliffdid said he stuck it on, which would indicate it was paper. If he wasn't wearing an official uniform - I wouldn't think he would be guilty of anything. Not a knowledge on this - just attempting to use a little common sense. :wink:

People have to understand that you cannot just post anything on our boards. Things can be construed by our opposition and being our views or stance on this issue. You did the right thing here William as usual.

Folks, any time you wear government gear you have aligned yourself with that government agency. Be VERY careful -- most people who work for the Federal Government do not 'announce' their employer, except while on-the-job. There is good reason for this -- the government isn't exactly trusted or appreciated by quite a few people, and for some people the government is met with resistance, anger, and, yes, gunfire.

My past employer was FEMA. I was issued a FEMA jacket with strong warnings about wearing that jacket 'in public'. There are documented cases of employees being fired at, especially when tempers are flaired and emotions are charged after a disaster.

Think long and hard before you attempt to "impersonate" or "impress" the general public with any type of government gear. Is it really worth the risk of bodily harm?

This first post is a copy of a popular e-mail forward joke that I have received many copies of over the last few months.

It is highly doubtful that anyone in America would even consider attempting something this ridiculous, but we have to be clear on all posts at ALIPAC about things like this.

The illegal alien supporters are so disparate and so devoid of ethics, they will try to grab something like this and make a big deal out of it as if to suggest that most ALIPAC supporters and most people opposing amnesty would break the law yada yada yada.
