A cache of weapons and marijuana was discovered in a southeast Fresno home Monday night, the Fresno Police Department said.

The weapons were found after the Fresno County MAGEC team issued a search warrant for the home on the 3100 block of east Madison Avenue, Fresno police Lt. Mike Doyle said.

Inside the home, the team found a Tec-9, an AK-47 and an Uzi, along with three rifles, Doyle said. Officers also found a samurai sword.

The occupants of the home used the basement to grow marijuana, Doyle said. The two men arrested were certified to grow the plants, Fresno police Sgt. Dennis Lowry said. However, there was about $20,000 in $20 bills found in a sock, which may be indicative of marijuana sales.

Two men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of various weapons charges, Doyle said. Authorities believe they were in the Norteño gang, Lowry said
