They allege that they should get TPS to help the economy here (just like TPS was supposed to help the economy in their country) and that once getting TPS they would not be deported and all they have to do is wait until some amnesty is passed by obama or mccain.

    We're stuck with them.

Those people are never going to return home on their own
and Obama or McCain are more likely to give them citizenship than send them home.
We're stuck with all of them except maybe the ones who get convicted of a felony.
    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that it will extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for nationals of El Salvador through Sep. 9, 2010.
How can they do this without approval from the U.S. Congress? Wasn't a deadline date placed on the original legislation? Is all TPS legislation open-ended?

Well this is just for citizens of El Salvador, I believe Hondurans have a separate TPS deadline that should be coming up for renewal January 5, 2009.

Why is it necessary to give any from El Salvador or Honduras TPS? Why are WE always the ones these people dump themselves on? This is ridiculous! Let some other countries take them on, we're closed!

If we have to take in this many refugees, open up a center on Guantanamo Bay until they can be sent back home.
