Thirty-three convicted criminal aliens, immigration fugitives and other immigration violators were arrested during a three-day crackdown by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The sweep was done in Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa last week.
According to ICE, all of the people involved were criminal aliens with convictions such as drug distribution, sexual assault, weapons offenses, aggravated assault, robbery, domestic assault, DUI and fraud.
Of those arrested, 15 were from Mexico, three were from El Salvador, one was from Guatemala, four were from Honduras, one was from Jamaica, one was from Somalia, one was from Thailand, two were from Nigeria, one was from Laos, one was from Sudan, one was from Kenya, one was from Vietnam and one was from Bosnia.
Among those arrested were nine previously-deported aliens and six immigration fugitives who had outstanding deportation orders, according to ICE officials. If convicted, anyone who re-enters the United States after having been previously deported commits a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Obama will just set them free again! I CANNOT understand how Obama himself isn't in prison! This guy ignores and changes laws in direct violation of the Constitution, yet somehow he remains free to commit more damage to our country!

When they send criminal apprehension teams out to snatch people up from home or work judges seldom release them. They usually do jail or prison time before being deported.
Criminal Alien Program
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) places a high priority on combating illegal immigration, including targeting illegal aliens with criminal records who pose a threat to public safety.
The Criminal Alien Program (CAP) provides ICE-wide direction and support in the biometric and biographic identification, arrest, and removal of priority aliens who are incarcerated within federal, state, and local prisons and jails, as well asat-large criminal aliens that have circumvented identification.
It is incumbent upon ICE to ensure that all efforts are made to investigate, arrest, and remove individuals from the United States that ICE deems priorities by processing the alien expeditiously and securing a final order of removal for an incarcerated alien before the alien is released to ICE custody.
The identification and processing of incarcerated criminal aliens, before release from jails and prisons, decreases or eliminates the time spent in ICE custody and reduces the overall cost to the Federal Government.
