Facebook Suppresses Legal Immigration Advocates, Activist Says

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been suppressing the news and views of people against illegal immigration on his social media platform. So says William Gheen, founder of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC.

“Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook are now reaching to take control of the political and media spheres of America. And they’re doing it in several different ways. A lot of our posts have been deleted or disallowed.”

Gheen maintains that Facebook is not honest about its biases and won’t acknowledge that it has taken actions to suppress conservative political views and groups.

“Facebook is abridging the American concepts of freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom to assemble and doing it without people’s knowledge. And they are doing it in a way to conceal their bias. If everybody knew that Facebook was some socialist, left-wing, liberal operation, and they didn’t want to use it because it was that type of operation, and it was working against them and using every keystroke they typed into it to achieve their goals, well that would be fair game. But Facebook has not told people about this and in fact their leader Mark Zuckerberg is denying that any of it is true.”

Gheen says Facebook’s bias goes beyond benign neglect.

“Not only are they controlling the information flow but they’ve created a system – like if you decide that there’s a problem and you want people to assemble, and have an event or a protest to address that problem like illegal immigration, you’ll then come under violent threats and attack on Facebook and Facebook will protect those people that are attacking you.”

Top conservative commentators have gathered at Facebook’s headquarters to meet with Zuckerberg to talk about the biases they believe Facebook promotes.

Gheen was a guest on 790 KABC’s McIntyre in the Morning with Doug McIntyre and Terri Rae Elmer.

Another activist who opposes illegal immigration, Denis Michael Lynch, also described how he was censored on facebook and how they deleted his stuff. He even had to get his lawyers involved https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wccxpeum4DQ

Always remember that Facebook is just a website, just like this BBS here at ALIPAC is just a website and anything the law can force Facebook to do, it can also force this website to do. Be careful. The Internet and its technological foundations are the basis of our freedoms on the internet and not the editorial policies of any website like Facebook or any other website committed to so called "social media". Just as Google is a database directory of websites, so also is Facebook a directory of user posts and relationships between user posts. These are massive websites spread out on hundreds, maybe thousands of different computers, but these networks of computers are private networks and have no dominion over the networks that you or I communicate with on this website, for example.

Whether it be one website on one computer, or one website sitting on a thousand computers, websites are private interests and represent private freedoms and this includes especially editorial policies and the right to restrict content to its own choosing.
