Flashback: Corretta Scott King warned illegals would take black jobs

    WATCH VIDEO AT LINK:

Corretta Scott King, wife of the slain civil rights leader, warned way back in 1991 that illegal immigration would rob jobs from poor blacks and Hispanics, echoing a new anti-immigration reform ad on national TV.

In a July 9, 1991, letter to Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, she and eight other civil rights and labor officials worried that businesses would look past low-wage minorities and hire even-lower wage illegals, increasing black and Hispanic unemployment.

RELATED: Martin Luther King Jr. enlisted to fight illegal immigration, Obama amnesty

In an argument being heard in minority communities today, they wrote:
America does not have a labor shortage. With roughly 7 million people unemployed, and double that number discouraged from seeking work, the removal of employer sanctions threatens to add additional U.S. workers to the rolls of the unemployed.
Additionally, it would add competition for scarce jobs and drive down wages. Moreover, the repeal of employer sanctions (against hiring illegals) will inevitably add to our social problems and place an unfair burden on the poor in the cities in which most new immigrants cluster — cities which are already suffering housing shortages and insufficient human needs.
RELATED: Census: 30% of U.S. population growth will be immigrants, 78 million by 2060

The full letter is published below:

True then, true today, true tomorrow. See, there's just no valid reason why America has to go over the same old FACTS with these morons in Congress and the White House. These are indisputable, irrefutable, absolute FACTS about the adverse impact of illegal and massive immigration on the American People. There is no valid argument against these FACTS, which are simple unchanging unrelenting laws of the universe. So, why are we continuing to have to explain this to the same old men and yes some women too, over and over and over again, year after year after year for decades?

Because they're rotten rats on the take with the cartels. There is no other possible explanation for their positions. None. Zero. Zip.

So spread the word. If as an elected official you support illegal immigration, then you're on the take with the cartels. Spread that message, and watch these rats start moving their funds and scramming for cover. They may be above the law, but they are not above the FACTS.

And thank you Coretta King for taking your precious time and energy to haul down to Congress and explain these FACTS to a bunch of crooked politicians, and our sincere apology that we've elected such people who would make that necessary.

IMO the problem is really with values, rather than facts.

'Bama, himself, wrote in his 2006 The Audacity of Hope that large scale immigration was bound to hurt blue collar Americans. So it's probably fair to say that there is nobody in public life who doesn't know the consequences of granting amnesty to 11+ million illegals.

The problem for American workers is that neither 'Bamacats nor the Repub leadership cares about the impact of illegals on Americans. 'Bamacrats want the votes of those Undocumented Decomcrats, the Repub leadership's big money donors want the surplus labor that amnesty and the next wave of illegals will give to the corporations.

Basically there are a few forums, such as ALIPAC, which are trying to promote an American point of view, but when the mainstream media won't feature the plight of Americans, we're in an uphill battle.
