    ICE agents raid Downtown pawn shop

    Federal agents raided Geneva Loan and Jewelry Co. in Downtown El Paso on Wednesday. Ruben R. Ramirez / El Paso Times Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, have arrested the employees of a Downtown pawn shop this morning.

    ICE agents made the arrests at around 9:30 a.m. at the Geneva Loan and Jewelry Company, 222 S. El Paso Street near the Camino Real Hotel.

    Officials said agents executed an arrest warrant and a federal search warrant at the business.

    Witnesses saw agents taking several employees out of the business in handcuffs. Agents were also seen loading evidence into several trucks. ICE agents remain at the business the morning.
