N.J.: Rutgers University students protest illegal immigrant

Rutgers University students protest illegal immigrant tuition during president's fundraising speech

NEW BRUNSWICK — A group of Rutgers University students repeatedly interrupted a speech by the school president today as they sought lower tuition for illegal immigrants at New Jersey colleges.

Rutgers President Richard McCormick was forced by students to stop four times during his 32-minute State of the University speech at the student center in New Brunswick.

The students shouted questions about the university’s policy of charging out-of-state tuition to illegal immigrants who grew up in New Jersey. They asked the president to commit to changing the rule.

When McCormick politely declined to respond for a fourth time and continued his speech, about 50 students rose in unison and silently walked out of the hall with their fists raised in the air. Some wrapped their hands in red Rutgers T-shirts.

IN-State tuition for ILLEGALS would replace innocent American students in the limited seats in college at a time when over 10% of Americans are out of work and their families are struggling to train for new jobs and pay for college. In-state tuition violates a 1996 Federal law. Why would you support in-state tuition for the ILLEGALS that will attract more ILLEGALS to New Jersey and America and train ILLEGALS for jobs it is illegal for them to have. These students should go back to their HOME countries and stop draining our resources that could be used to assist United States Citizens and not the ILLEGALS! Just follow the money! The Elitist Politicians and their Elitist Political Contributors want to continue to have United States Citizens pay the benefits for their ILLEGALS while they continue to have their BOTTOM LINES increased at the taxpayer's expense!

Illegals shouldn't even be students at Rutgers or any other American college or university and it's a crime to admit them.

Rutgers charges in-state undergraduates $12,560 per year in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay $24,316. Illegal immigrants are also barred from getting state financial aid, making it impossible for many to cover their tuition bills.
Aw, boo hoo hoo... Face it kiddies, you ARE NOT legal residents, so even though Mommy and Daddy have probably been collecting every freebie possible for you your entire life here in the US; for YOU the jig is up! You got an entire education for free, now it's time for you to go home and:
    a) immigrate legally
    b) get your college education in your Country of origin
    c) put up or shut up!

In case you haven't seen the memo, we are sick and tired of footing YOUR bills and we're not gonna take it anymore. You can whine and throw all the tantrums you want, but it's over! Go on home now like good kiddies, and take the rest of your family with you. You do not deserve better treatment than our own children!

Add up how much the average family pays in taxes that the families of illegals do not. Bet it is a lot more than the difference between in-state and out of state - only about $10,000 a year.

Of course they can afford it - face it citizens, they are the only ones with any money.

Reyna Martinez, a senior who co-chairs the Latino Student Council, said there are many illegal immigrants at Rutgers and many more who can’t afford to attend because of the tuition policy. Martinez said she and other students who are in the country legally spoke at the meeting on behalf of the illegal students who were afraid to give their names.
Listen up chica, there are plenty of American students who can't afford to attend even with in-state tuition! I could care less about maiking it easier for illegal aliens to attend our colleges! They have NO business asking for special treatment, they need to be deported posthaste!!
