I don't see what the draw is to go there. I have NEVER UNDERSTOOD IT. It's always been a filthy, corrupt country that poses a danger, especially to Americans. Why would anyone want to travel somewhere where their personal safety is highly at risk and all of the police are corrupt and use their power to extort money from tourists? It's ALWAYS been that way...a country full of criminals, not only of their own, but it's where criminals from all over the world run to and always have, because the rule of law has NEVER meant anything there.

I agree criminals run to Mexico and they look the other way if the criminal is wealthy. Look at the Max Factor heir Luster. He took off to Mexico and Dog the Bounty hunter caught him there and he got into trouble with the Mexican government.
Mexico is also a threat to Canadian tourists as several were killed while vacationing there.
