McConnell and Boehner are certainly showing their true colors to even be involved in this travesty on any level.

This is another way to remove the voice of the PEOPLE and usurp the Constitution.

If they made any such changes it would have to be voted (ratified) by the states since it would change the Constitution.

This is nuts. I see this as the RINOs, elites, progressives, etc. seeing an opportunity to ram things through with a few members, while hundreds of other representatives sit on the side powerless to represent the people. Special interests will have a bigger seat at the table.

There are several people in both parties, at the top level, that do not know what is best for our nation. They only seek what is best for themselves, for their personal futures and fortunes, and to get re-elected to retain power.

The numbers of Americans grow that are sick, sick, sick of these people.

This is how I see it also. What ever happened to the 'Grand Old Party' of SMALL GOVENMENT?

There is not one thing 'Republican' about what Boehner is trying to do here. It reminds me of the time George W. Bush FORCED CAFTA on the Republican Congress ON STEROIDS! (And look where CAFTA has taken us.)

What we have to realize what they are trying to do is to form a SECRET GOVERNMENT - one completely OUT OF PUBLIC PURVIEW conducted WITHOUT MAJORITY CONSENT of the American People.

They are trying to form a SECRET GOVERNMENT, and use this PLANNED CRISIS to justify it!

Think about the $16 trillion that was just 'provisioned' out of thin air that went GOD KNOWS WHERE - they won't even tell us!

And THAT WAS DONE ON THE FLOOR OF CONGRESS in broad daylight.

There is absolutely no telling what travesty these socialist power mongers will cook up for all of us if they are allowed to SECRETLY vote themselves CARTE BLANCHE to do WHATEVER FITS THEIR WHIM with * OUR MONEY *

What we can be sure of is that whatever they do with it, Americans will be the ones paying for it and won't ever be told what they did, who got what money, why, where, when, and how.

What would have happened IF the First Congress met IN SECRET and determined how public monies would be spent, who got those monies, and why?

This has got to be the most insane, socialistic power grab of American public monies in the history of our country, or at least since the Federal Reserve gained complete control over the United States Dollar and banking institution.
