[Watch] Rep Mike Rogers – We Can Send Illegals Home to Central America, Law is Being Misinterpreted

Rep Mike Rogers, a co-chair of the House Select Committee on Intelligence is interviewed by David Gregory regarding the border crisis. He says there are tools in Obama’s tool box that will allow him to immediately take corrective action as to the influx of illegals.

Senator Dianne Feinstein, who co-authored the bill which created the loophole in the first place, says that it can be done immediately.

Rogers says that is where Obama needs to start, and that there is bi-partisan support for such action.

David Gregory, demonstrating his unbelievable cranial density, asks Rogers, “but is it fair to say the president is somehow encouraging them to come?” Rogers explains the obvious, that they are coming because they believe that it is American policy, Obama policy, that they will be able to stay.

He explains to Gregory that Feinstein herself believes that the law is presently being misinterpreted and misapplied.
He argues that in addition to not exposing the children to sex and drug trafficking, we get our Border Patrol back where they belong, on the border, keeping bad people out.

Gregory, the Democrat can’t help but ask Rogers if he sees the Republican position as bad politically, at which point Rogers directs him back to the national security consequences for all Americans and the overwhelming support for a border security first approach.

Once again, the fact that the so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” is just a repackaging of existing, unenforced law with a ribbon of amnesty wrapped around it never makes it into the conversation.
