Thread: WH Ordered Back to Court to Explain Alleged False Facts in Amnesty Case

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) — The judge who blocked President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration has ordered the Justice Department to answer allegations the government misled him about part of the plan.

U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen has ordered federal government lawyers to appear in his court March 19 in Brownsville. The hearing is in response to a filing last week in which the government acknowledged some deportation reprieves were granted before Hanen’s Feb. 16 injunction.

Government attorneys had previously said officials wouldn’t accept such requests under Obama’s action until Feb. 18.

The government said in its filing that the 100,000 immigrants who were granted three-year reprieves and work permits were already eligible under a previous immigration plan from 2012.

The 26 states suing over Obama’s plan requested more information.

I'm going to assume, since the judge is requesting the gov. lawyers appear in Brownsville on March 19th, that he is not changing his ruling as requested. Guess that means the Obama administration will be filing their appeal to the 5th Circuit Court in New Orleans today. The March 19th return to Brownsville is great news and will bring more needed attention to the lawsuit, especially if it is determined that the Obama administration's lawyers lied to the judge!

Yep, MW, the government lied, and it's still lying. If anyone thinks or believes for a minute they only processed 100,000 before the order and lied to the Judge about them, then they need to think again. This Administration has process 7.4 million of these people since 2009 so you know they ramped it up as fast as they could to sneak in as many as possible before the Judge's order, so it's highly likely that discovery requests will prove there were a lot more than what they're pretending to be confessing to.

We so need a Special Prosecutor to investigate the entirety of these 7.4 million who were authorized to work in the US under DHS's "shadow" system.

When the special prosecutor brought charges, included for aiding and abetting must be all Dems in Congress, as well as several Repubs. (McConnell, Boehner a good place to begin.)
