Alleged Ft. Dix terror plotters back in court

By The Associated Press

CAMDEN — The six men accused of planning a deadly raid on Fort Dix are due in court today for another status conference.

Their lawyers say they will likely argue, again, that November 5 is too early to hold the trial.

They say it will take months just to hear the roughly 200 hours of surveillance tapes made by a paid government informant.

Lawyers also expect more talks about how to deal with secret government wiretaps that are part of the case.

The men are accused of conspiring to kill soldiers. Five face life in prison if they’re convicted.

The other, Agron Abdullahu of Buena Vista, is charged with a weapons offense punishable by 10 years in prison. Abdullahu, a U.S. citizen, is accused of helping illegal immigrants obtain weapons.
