The Fresno Police Department's "felon with a gun" campaign helped lead officers to two convicted felons who were arrested at their central Fresno home Monday on suspicion of possession of illegal guns, officials said.

Edward Sierra, 29, and Gabriel De La Cruz, 46, were booked into the Fresno County Jail as a result of a Crime Stoppers tip submitted during the campaign that began on July 14, Sgt. Jerardo Chamalbide of the police Street Violence Section said.

Sierra is an East Side Fresno Bulldog, Chamalbide said.

Anyone with information on illegal guns is asked to call detective Brian Pierce at (559) 621-2428.
