California Excuses Illegals for Obama Care but Punishes Senior Citizens
Here is some information that has not been very clear to some of our Senior Citizens.
1. Once you are 65 you cannot purchase Health Insurance without having Medicare Part B.
2. If you are over 65 and purchase Medicare Part B you will be charged more. For instance a 74 year will pay $300 a month for part B.
3. Open enrollment for Medicare Part B is from January to March and takes affect the following July.
4. Once you are eligible for Medicare you will not qualify for any subsidy.
This is information I found trying to enroll a senior friend into Obama Care last year. The result is that he could not get Health Insurance this year, has to pay $300 a month for Medicare Part B starting this month and see his taxes in this great state of California go towards Health Insurance for Illegals.

Part B costs
You pay a premium each month for Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance). Most people will pay the standard premium amount. However, if your modified adjusted gross income as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago is above a certain amount, you may pay an Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). IRMAA is an extra charge added to your premium.
How much does Part B cost?
Most people pay the Part B premium of $104.90 each month.
You pay $147 per year for your Part B deductible.
Some people automatically get Part B. Learn how and when you can sign up for Part B.
If you don't sign up for Part B when you're first eligible, you may have to pay a late enrollment penalty.
If your modified adjusted gross income as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago (the most recent tax return information provided to Social Security by the IRS) is above a certain amount, you may pay more.
Social Security will contact some people who have to pay more depending on their income. The amount you pay can change each year depending on your income. If you have to pay a higher amount for your Part B premium and you disagree (for example, if your income goes down), use this form to contact Social Security.

JohnDoe on this document it states that you would have to pay a late enrollment penalty. This is deceiving because you would believe it would be a one time penalty. On the letter (statement) from Social Security it is included in the monthly deductions as "a premium surcharge for not enrolling when you could have".

Oh, yes. You are supposed to enroll at 65 and if you don't there is a penalty based on how many months you are late.
