EXCUSES EXCUSES FROM ILLEGALS ROUNDED UP IN RHODE ISLAND

Four Arrested In ICE Raids To Speak Out
    07-21-2008 10:44 AM

(Providence, RI) -- Four of the people arrested in the immigration raids at six Rhode Island courthouses plan to tell their side of the story today. Gustavo Cabrera, Lucy Contreras, Dolly Guerrero and Irma Perez will gather at the Dexter Training Grounds at Armory Park at 3 p.m. to send the message that they are not criminals, but rather people who have done what is required to survive. Last week, federal immigration officials arrested 31 suspected illegal immigrants employed as custodians by two cleaning companies that hold at least 45 janitorial contracts across state government. Authorities say many of them used counterfeit documents to obtain their jobs with TriState Enterprises and Falcon Maintenance.

It dosen't matter the law is the law, what happens to the people that they steal the social security numbers from, what about their quality of life.
We should obey and enforce all our current immigration laws.

I was able to locate this very similar piece as the one posted. Notice how the IAs are refered to as "victims" of ICE.

    ICE Victims Speak out

I just received this press advisory:

People Arrested in ICE Raids Speak Out!

On Monday, July 21st at 3:00pm four of the people arrested in the ICE raids last Tuesday will gather at the Dexter Training Grounds (Armory Park) to send a loud and clear message: That they are not Criminals!

Gustavo Cabrera, Lucy Contreras, Dolly Guerrero and Irma Perez each came to this country for the same basic reason: survival. Although the individual circumstances of each of their lives, and the reasons they chose to migrate to the United States differs, their stories have overlapping threads and themes- At some point, in desperation, they each made a decision to embark on a journey, leaving behind family, friends and a culture that was dear and familiar to them in an attempt to seek a better life for themselves and their loved ones.

Collectively, Gustavo, Lucy, Dolly and Irma were forced from their homeland in an effort to escape devastating poverty, domestic abuse, political repression and violence. They want to share their stories with the public and with the press so that people understand that they are not criminals and law-breakers, but rather people that did what anyone would do in their situation in order to survive.

Since coming to this country the road has not been easy. They have struggled to find work and when they did, they were often exploited and put in long hours, frequently getting paid below minimum wage. The people and companies that profited off of their hardship are the real criminals, the ones who deserve to be punished.

These brave individuals hope that by coming forward and sharing their stories that they will be able to restore compassion in the hearts of decision makers and individuals who have lost track of the human element in their positions and declarations of “legalâ€

They put themselves in those positions, no one forced them. Ive got my OWN problems to deal with and could care less about people who are so arrogant they don't think laws apply to them. GET OUT!

    EXCUSES

Why don't we EVER see reports of the people whose ID's are stolen by illegals and discuss the nightmare they go thru to straighten out tax and credit problems ????
The media never wants us to see the other side of the story.
