Gun Companies: We Don’t Sell To State Gov Who Think They Are More Equal Than Citizens

Gun Companies Come Together: We Wouldn’t Sell To State Governments Who Think They Are “More Equal” Than Their Citizens

Nice, please keep it up when the inevitable backlash from the Obama Administration comes.

    Via Breitbart:
Six gun companies have announced plans to stop selling any of their products to any government agency in states that severely limit the rights of private gun ownership.
Disappointed with New York State lawmakers and other jurisdictions around the country who have passed strict gun control legislation, the companies—composed of firearm manufacturers, gunsmiths, and sporting goods retailers—have announced these policies in the past week.

Their various statements emphasize that such laws create a class of government employees with rights and and a class of citizens without rights. Thus, they refuse to aid the enforcement of such inequality.

    The announcements read:

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity - will no longer be served as customers.

In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York - henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.

The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms. Law-enforcement agencies are typically exempt from these restrictions. EFI, LLC does not recognize law-enforcement exemptions to local, state, and federal gun control laws. If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction.

We will not sell arms to agents of the state of New York that hold themselves to be "more equal" than their citizens.

As long as the legislators of New York think they have the power to limit the rights of their citizens, in defiance of the Constitution, we at Templar will not sell them firearms to enforce their edicts.

Templar Custom is announcing that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee will no longer be served as customers.

Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.

Recently, companies such as LaRue Tactical and Olympic Arms have announced that they will no longer sell prohibited items to government agencies and personnel in states that deny the right to own those items to civilians. It has been and will continue to be Cheaper Than Dirt’s policy to not to sell prohibited items to government agencies and/or agents in states, counties, cities, and municipalities that have enacted restrictive gun control laws against their citizens. We support and encourage other companies that share in this policy.

Second Amendment activist groups Guns Save Life and Grass Roots North Carolina are currently urging big gun manufacturers Sig Sauer, Smith and Wesson, and Glock to halt their sales to government agencies within states that have clamped down on their residents' right to bear arms.

Will the ammo companies stop selling to the government as well, and save some of the billion rounds for us?
Just posted Remington facebook sites.this to the Ruger, S&W, Glock, and facebook sites. I encourage everyone to contact them and do the same. They are responding to these posts so it is clear they are listening.

I wish to add my voice to others in asking that NAME OF FIREARMS MANUFACTURER follow the example of other firearms companies not to sell to cities and states that infringe on their citizens rights. I plan to

purchase an AR style firearm and at least two pistols, another for myself and one for the wife. I will give serious attention only to those manufacturers that strongly support my 2nd Amendment rights. Please remember, if these anti-gun laws are enacted firearms manufacturers will loose more in lost sales to citizens than they ever will from these cities or states.

I've been looking to buy another Beretta 92, now I know where to shop. **** you hussein!!!!
This warms every little millimeter of my heart, which is the same way I felt on Chic-Fil-A day. The gun manufacturers know that the majority of citizens have their backs, as well as the states that have been passing legislation where they will not abide by any new gun legislation coming out of Wash., executive ordres and/or edicts by the Obama machine. What a difference it makes when you know you have such overwhelming support. We The People are an amazing lot, and this shows how far we can get when we all stand together and loudly shout "STOP." Major thanks to all those gun manufacturers who are standing on "principles", while we watch the liberals standing on all their "principals".

If the highest form of morality and patriotism is the defense of human freedom against tyranny, and I do believe it is, then these gun manufacturers/distributurs coming together like this are to be saluted and cheered by all who value freedom. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Police and governments by definition do have more rights than citizens, That's why it is essential to clearly limit their power, as history proves.

Giddyup .. ! the second amendment protects the first .. from the tyranny of nimrods

Gun maker bans sales to New York

An American firearms manufacturer says they are the banning the sale of their merchandise to law enforcement and government agencies in New York State in protest of a new gun law signed this week by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The management at Washington State-based Olympic Arms, Inc. issued a statement this week affirming that the half-century-old gun maker will no longer be in business with any government-affiliated parties operating in New York, where just this Tuesday Gov. Cuomo signed the first new state-wide firearm regulations in the country since the tragic Newton, Connecticut massacre last December.

Gov. Cuomo, a gun owner himself, called the new law a “common sense” measure in wake of a series of mass shootings, and attacked critics of his stance by saying, "You can overpower the extremists with intelligence and common sense” before he signed it in Albany, NY this week.

With the governor’s autograph, New York will now have to maintain a statewide gun registry and a uniform licensing standard. Additionally, residents will be limited to purchasing magazines with a maximum capacity of seven bullets instead of the standard 15, and other changes will effect treatment given to the mentally ill.

“I'm very proud that this state passed a comprehensive, common-sense gun-control law that is reasonable, that is balanced, that does not affect hunters, does not affect sportsmen," Cuomo told reporters in Poughkeepsie, NY this week. "It's about keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, about keeping the guns out of the hands of criminals. And that everybody should be able to agree on."

“Should,” of course, is key. On the day he signed the legislation into law, a crowd of pro-gun activists rallied outside of the state house in Albany to protest the maneuver. Perhaps the biggest demonstration so far, though, has come courtesy of Olympic, who issued their press release just hours before Gov. Cuomo’s signature was added to the bill.

“Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States,” reads the statement from the company, published on their Facebook page and shared over 5,300 times as of this writing.

“Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers,” it continues.

“In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York – henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.”

Olympic is stopping there, though, and has more than just a little bone to pick with police in New York. Also this week, the gun-makers released a separate statement in which they vow to boycott the FOP Journal, the official magazine of the Fraternal Order or Police.

“It is well known that the FOP is a staunch supporter of Gun Control, had backed the AWB under Bill Clinton, and supports the current AWB under consideration that was introduced by Diane Feinstein [sic],” is reads. “We pledge to inform all of our customers the lengths that the FOP and associated FOP affiliates by proxy (which includes all your advertisers) are willing to go to in order to strip the American Citizen of their Constitutional Rights, while at the same time writing in exemptions to the same legislation to ensure that their members maintain those same rights they would have stripped from others.”

Gov. Cuomo mentioned earlier this week that some reports suggest the establishing of new gun laws will cause an increase in firearm sales, similarly to a spike in retail purchases made before the 2008 and 2012 elections when Democrat Barack Obama was expected to win a spot in the White House and was rumored to begin make changes immediately to federal law.
