Kerry Says It Is Our Biblical ‘Duty’ To Protect Muslim Countries Against Climate Change

During a speech on Wednesday, United States Secretary of State John Kerry took the opportunity to address what the administration believes the U.S. should be focused on in “Muslim-majority” nations: combating climate change.

Breitbart reports that Kerry said that our responsibility is clearly laid out in the Bible, specifically in the book of Genesis.
    via Washington Free Beacon:
“Confronting climate change is, in the long run, one of the greatest challenges that we face, and you can see this duty or responsibility laid out in Scriptures clearly, beginning in Genesis.
    *
“And Muslim-majority countries are among the most vulnerable. Our response to this challenge ought to be rooted in a sense of stewardship of Earth, and for me and for many of us here today, that responsibility comes from God.”
Meanwhile, in “Muslim-majority” countries such as Egypt, Iraq and Syria, Islamic terrorist groups like ISIS and al Qaeda offshoots are daily carrying out brutal terrorist attacks that have rocked the world and left their citizens living in fear.

John Kerry: The Bible Commands Us To Protect Muslims From Climate Change

in Faith, News, Videos / by Brandon Walker / on September 4, 2014 at 9:49 am /

Secretary of State John Kerry had a decree for the world. In a twisted version of scripture, Kerry misquotes the bible to say that it means America should protect the Muslim world from climate change and “Global Warming”.
A short time ago, John Kerry made the statement that “Global Warming” was the greatest threat to America. This was in spite of the Pew Research Center finding only 28% of people found “man made global warming” to be a threat, the Wall Street Journal finding six threats bigger then global warming that the administration should be worried about, and one reporter noting after 48% of scientists have came out saying it is a “hoax” that perhaps Kerry should be nominated as a “Global Nutcase” resulting in the reporter being dismissed from CBS.
Our illustrious Secretary of State was at it again this Wednesday, September 2, 2014. This time he twisted a Bible verse to say we should protect Muslim countries from “Global Warming.”
On September 2, the United States Federal Government held a ceremony to promote a Texas Lawyer, Shaarik Zafar, to be a “special representative of the Muslim Communities.” If the promotion of a need to “unite religious communities” under the same system wasn’t enough to send chills down the spine of end times conspiracy theorists, Kerry took it upon himself to reinterpret the Bible.
“Confronting climate change is, in the long run, one of the greatest challenges that we face, and you can see this duty or responsibility laid down in scriptures, clearly, beginning in Genesis,” Kerry claimed.
Our fates are inextricably linked on any number of things that we must confront and deal with in policy concepts today,” Kerry said. “Our fates are inextricably linked on the environment. For many of us, respect for God’s creation also translates into a duty to protect and sustain His first creation: Earth, the planet. Before God created man, He created Heavens and Earth.”
Kerry also stated that “Muslim-majority countries are among the most vulnerable” when it comes to the impact of climate change.
“Our response to this challenge ought to be rooted in a sense of stewardship of Earth,” Kerry continued. “And for me and for many of us here today, that responsibility comes from God.” ~CNS
The absurd comment has one grain of biblical truth. God did create man in Genesis Chapter one, and repeated in Chapter two, in his image and to be the steward of the earth. This doesn’t take into account that in the very next chapter man was cursed to toil and bust thorns and thistles just to grow the grain to make his bread to eat at the end of the day until the day that he returned to the ground for disobeying God.
The first chapters in Genesis do not have one reference to “Global Warming,” Climate Change, protecting Muslims from themselves, or embracing another religion. In fact the first commandment, a few short chapters later, is that you shall have no other gods before the Almighty.
In regards to “Global Warming” being referenced in the Bible, I can not find a references to what may cause the fire in Revelations, but it happens suddenly rather than taking hundreds of years to take form.
I can, however, find you plenty of references in the Qur’an commanding the Muslims to stone, behead, torture, tax, humiliate, rape, burn, and spit upon “the people of the book” (meaning Christians and Jews) until they feel oppressed.
Even Downtrend points out how absurd this is.
We rushed to our exhaustive concordance to find out where the King James Bible even mentions the word “climate.” Sadly, we couldn’t find any reference. You can be sure that we’ll keep looking, though.
It should be in there somewhere because Kerry said that it is “clearly” laid out in the Scriptures that man has a duty to save the planet from global warming. And that duty is spelled out first in the book of Genesis, he said.
Sadly, we couldn’t find any reference to a hockey stick chart in the Book of Genesis. Nor did we find any inaccurate predictions about arctic ice.
We do, however, find something in the Bible about turning the other cheek. Maybe that’s why Kerry wants us to help countries that are populated by people who want to kill us. It’s all about forgiveness, you see.
Perhaps Kerry should stick with being the new fall guy for the administration and leave preaching to the actual readers of God’s word.
As far as Global Warming, there is only one reference that is even close, and it completely contradicts his statements and mythical Don Quixote battle against the “Climate Change” windmills of his dreams.
“While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” ~Genesis 8:22

Donald Trump Scoffs at ‘Climate Change’: ‘It’s Called Weather’

September 1, 2014 By Greg Campbell

    51249 SHARES

Real estate mogul Donald Trump is not afraid to tell it like it is. The bold billionaire has been willing to call out the political correctness police and the asinine celebrities who do more talking than thinking.

Now, Trump has called out President Obama and claimed that Americans feel “embarrassed” about the obvious lack of leadership in the White House.

In a recent interview with Breitbart News, Trump explained, “[Americans] are so disappointed in their country. They’re disappointed in their leadership, and they’re very embarrassed.”

While conservatives and Tea Partiers remain some of the most patriotic Americans, Trump is correct in his assessment that many feel embarrassed by the president and disappointed in the direction this nation is heading.

When the conversation turned to illegal immigration and Obama’s continual threat to implement amnesty via executive fiat, Trump explained that it “would be a terrible thing for the country” if the president ruled as a dictator and enacted unilateral amnesty.

“Our country has enough problems,” Trump said. “Many of the people coming in are not people that their countries wanted. We’re getting a lot of rough customers coming in and we’re getting a lot of criminal types coming in. I’m sure we’re getting some very good people coming in. But it’s very unfair to the millions of other people who want to come into the country who want to go through the legal system, and they’re never going to make it. It’s very unfair.”

Trump claimed that ISIS may have sealed their own fate by publicly beheading journalist James Foley. Trump explained,

“ISIS made a very big mistake when they so publicly beheaded Mr. Foley, the reporter. I think that was a tremendous mistake, because more than any other act that got the anger of even people who were not hawkish—that got the anger up. I think that was a terrible mistake because I’d imagine at a certain point we’re going to blow them into oblivion. People who weren’t in favor of that all of a sudden are.”

Of course, public sentiment may be against ISIS, but military action would require a Commander-in-Chief with the nerve and fortitude to commit to force and remain committed fully until the job was done.

The interview with Trump concluded with a discussion about “climate change,” or, as Trump and many other conservatives call it, “weather.”

“Taxing everybody for climate change is absolutely ridiculous,” Trump said. “Many people don’t even think there is such a thing as ‘climate change.’ It’s called weather.”

“Now they call it ‘climate change’ but they used to call it ‘global warming,’” Trump stated. “Well, ‘climate change’ takes care of everything—cooling, warming, no matter what happens. The whole thing with massive taxes, which is essentially what it is, would be very bad for the country.”

Trump’s candor is refreshing and comes at a time when the Obama administration seems pathologically unable to tell the truth and thoroughly unwilling to advocate for the best interests of the American people.

Politics: Kerry: We're big Bible readers at the State Dept., and it tells us to protect Muslims from global warming

Image Credit: The bullet we dodged in 2004 Published by: Dan Calabrese on Thursday September 4th, 2014

    What?

I'm in favor of everyone reading the Bible, but sometimes I think Democrats ought be supervised when they read it - especially the ones who dive in not to search for God's truth, but rather to find words they can twist to justify their left-wing agendas.
And that especially goes for John Kerry. On Tuesday, during a ceremony appointing attorney Shaarik Zafar as "special representative of the Muslim Communities," Kerry enlightened us all about the true meaning of Genesis:

I suppose the most effective rebuttal of anything John Kerry says is to simply point out that Kerry said it. But if you need more, let's look at the passage in Genesis most cited by liberals as a call to environmental stewardship. It's Genesis 1:26-28:
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
In other words, he gave us dominion (cue the secualarist liberal freak-out) over the Earth, and with that position comes a responsibility to properly care for it. True enough. We rule over it and just as God made us in His image, we are to be rulers over the Earth in the same manner in which He rules over us.
Well and good, but no one is arguing we should do otherwise. The global warming (or "climate change") debate is not about whether we should be good stewards of the Earth. It's about whether a) the evidence of anthropogenic global warming is really convincing; b) it really presents the threat liberals insist it does; and most importantly, c) whether the big-government, high-regulation, high-tax "solutions" liberals are demanding really solve anything, or whether they will do more harm than good, or whether we might be better off looking to the private sector for these solutions - if, in fact, we need them at all.
And why exactly is it that the Muslim world is most vulnerable to the supposed ravages of global warming? I thought people who lived along ocean coastlines and on islands were most vulnerable. Remember when Miami was going to be underwater by 2016?
Besides, the Bible says to do a lot of things Democrats have no interest in doing, so I'll take John Kerry seriously as a theologian when he starts urging his party to stop abortion, stop celebrating homosexuality, stop encouraging the tormenters of Israel, stop encouraging the advancement of the sexual revolution, stop encouraging drug use, stop contributing to the destruction of the family . . . yeah, then come and talk to me about Genesis.
Because anyone can quote Scripture. It doesn't mean their heart is with the Lord.

(ZIP) -- Lurch, the blithering fool, is at it again.

    Via Breitbart:
Wednesday at a ceremony to appoint Texas lawyer Shaarik Zafar to be special representative to Muslim communities, Secretary of State John Kerry said it was the United States’ Biblical “responsibility” to “confront climate change,” including to protect “vulnerable Muslim majority counties.”
Kerry said Scripture, in particular the Book of Genesis, make clear it is our “duty” to protect the planet and we should look at Muslim countries “with a sense of stewardship of earth,” adding, “That responsibility comes from God.”

Lurch: The Bible Tells Us to Save Muslim Countries from Global Warming

    BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: We've got Lurch, John Kerry. I just learned this this morning, folks. Grab audio sound bite number thirty. This one, I just learned this morning, but this happened last Wednesday at the State Department. While all this stuff was going on with ISIS and ISIL, and everyone waiting with bated breath over Obama's announcement to grant amnesty to however many millions of illegals that are lurking and living in the shadows, all of a sudden John Kerry at the State Department, appointed Shaarik Zafar to be the new special representative to Muslim communities -- as though we don't have enough "outreach" to Muslim communities.
Get this. I didn't know this.
KERRY: Confronting climate change is, in the long run, one of the greatest challenges that we face, and you can see this duty or responsibility laid out in the Scriptures clearly beginning in Genesis.
    RUSH: Wait a minute!
    KERRY: The Muslim --

RUSH: He's citing the Bible? A liberal Democrat? Whatever happened to "separation of church and state"? Whatever happened to getting rid of the "social issues"? I heard that a bunch of times last week, too. "The Republicans are never gonna win! They gotta get rid of the social issues, Rush." Everywhere I go, everybody who claims to be a Republican, says, "You gotta get rid of the social issues!"
Well, really? Here comes Kerry: Global warming and Genesis? The Bible? Take this sound bite back to the top, Mike. I didn't say, "Stop the tape!" but you stopped the tape. (interruption) Well, I said, "Wait a minute," but that's not, "Stop the tape!" I was just talking to myself. Anyway, hit it from the top again.
KERRY: Confronting climate change is, in the long run, one of the greatest challenges that we face, and you can see this duty or responsibility laid out in the Scriptures clearly beginning in Genesis. And Muslim majority countries are among the most vulnerable.
    RUSH: Oh no.
KERRY: Our response to this challenge ought to be rooted in a sense of stewardship of earth, and for me and for many of us here today, that responsibility comes from God.
RUSH: I don't believe... I don't believe I heard that! I don't believe what I just heard. So it's okay to cite the Bible. It's okay to broom the separation of church and state when talking about global warming outreach with Muslims. This was at a special ceremony in Washington last Wednesday about this global warming business, and it's supposed man-made causes.
But then he claims it's the United States Biblical responsibility to confront climate change to help protect vulnerable Muslim-majority countries! Uh... (laughing) Folks! I mean, the utter... From the left's standpoint, the utter hypocrisy of this, to cite the Bible as a reason, and global warming as the reason we must reach out and protect vulnerable Muslim majorities? The Bible commands the United States to join Muslim nations in this cause?
    Twilight Zone time!
